   And no Natasha, his mindset wasn’t you might land but when I land I’ll land harder. His mindset was make you miss and make you pay. He wasn’t a face first fighter, he was one of the greatest defensive fighters in history.

   Yeah of course Natasha, your dad knew about Mike in 1985 when he was fighting in obscure venues, your dad in Liverpool knew all about him and said watch out for him. What bollocks! Mike wasn’t even known in England until about 26 fights into his career then his fights were televised on ITV maybe from the fight before he beat Berbick for the title which was against Alfonso Ratliff. His first 15 fights were mostly off tv with the exception of a couple of them, and even after he beat Jesse Ferguson a few of his fights until he became champ were off tv too.

   They gave Buster Douglas a extended count and Clipped Mike cold.. he probably would have only lost to Holyfield and Lewis !!

   I believe Tyson was like a wounded animal after cus died. He was off the rails! He was confused, lonely and lost! He had no one around him that cared. This led to drink and drugs to mask it! It took him many years to find himself and to find happiness! It’s nice to see him now with his family! But that said the angry almost evil side will come out in the ring no matter what and I feel for Roy

    Some people are touched by God, Ali, Tyson, Maradona were among those guys. Whatever you thought about them outside their arena of sport, there was no denying that when they were shining in their sport it was like they were touched by the hand of God.

    Overcoming Adversity? Tucker hurt him, Ruddock hurt him 3-4 times i the middle round fight 1 & in the 9th 10th fight 2. He received a perforated ear drum during that fight. Frans Botha later in his career when he was past his best was beating him 5-0 in rounds & Tyson pulled out a shot. When He lost to Douglas he wasn’t living the life & Holyfield was after 4 & a half years out of the ring, 3 of those years in jail. People often forget the fights he did turn around like ruddock, Botha etc… and only mention the ones he didn’t and if enough ppl repeat it it’s a fact. Tyson would of beat Holyfield at any point up to 1991.

    Dude at 5:15 watch Joe Evan’s interview on the first meeting between Lewis and Tyson. You a youngsta so you late and amused by the flash in the pan but understanding past your view 1980 going forward. Lewis and Holyfield beat a shell. Now research their first meetings when they were coming up. Much respect to Lewis and Holyfield but I know they fought a declined Mike and got his name on their belt. 1 love to Oliver McCal, Joe Egan and Holmes. Holmes being an older man who went “12” rounds with Holyfield, the man yiu say would’ve gave Mike trouble always.

    I just wonder why Mike never speaks about Kevin Rooney. He talks about teddy, met teddy but never speaks about Kevin Rooney. He made tyson who he is today, cus d amato was only around for a little while but Rooney so much longer.
