Scientists are ‘a step closer to reversing paralysis’ in humans – BBC News

Published

on

US scientists have successfully reversed paralysis in mice, bringing them a step closer to achieving similar results in humans.

A new therapy injected into the spinal cords encouraged molecules to “dance”, promoting regeneration in damaged nerves.

The team hopes to begin trials in human patients within two years.

Bullshit, they don't want us to walk again because we generate billions of dollars for the pharmaceutical industry. I've seen a spinal cord injury sufferer walking again after receiving stem cells from his stomach fat make a full recovery.

“A step closer”??? it’s already been done! I have a friend who severed his spine and got the stem cell treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale. He is no longer paralyzed and is living a normal life with the full use of his lower half! He was treated over a decade ago!

We would have a cure already if it wasn't for Christian Republicans always voting down stem cell treatment and exploratory medication. They always want to put their two cents in politics but when you say tax the church they get silent. Religion hinders alot of scientific progression, especially in America
