Why isn't The City Of London mentioned?
The City of London has a special status: it has its own government, its own mayor and its own independent police force wouldn't that make the process easier?

How about the support within The City of London to leave and rejoin the EU?
The City of London Corporation, as the local government body responsible for the administration of the City of London, had a more nuanced stance on Brexit. The City of London is a major financial center and has a significant interest in maintaining its position as a global hub for finance and business.

While there were individuals and institutions within the City of London who supported Brexit, the majority of the City's official stance leaned towards remaining in the European Union. The City of London Corporation expressed concerns about the potential negative impacts of Brexit on the financial services sector, access to the single market, and the ability to attract international talent before leaving and most of the negatives happened but not all at once and the negatives continues gradually.

Since the completion of Brexit in January 2020, the City of London Corporation has been actively engaged in discussions and negotiations with the UK government and EU institutions to safeguard the interests of the financial sector, whatever that means…Do not expect there isn't a backup plan for The City Of London Coperation to rejoin the EU. Because there is one, but how it looks like I have no idea but it's weird that this video doesn't even mention it.

London could become a majority Brown city by 2050, then claim independence supported by Asia, Africa etc and some nations within the UN. This happened with Kosovo, which isn't recognized by the UN, so don't be too surprised.

Why doesn't London just join the City of London. That way it can ignore all of the British Laws.

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Lel, I never think London can be independent of the UK

London is UK's capital, which means it's the country's brain.

If your brain leaves the body, how can it work?

Moving capital is a hard move, so not possible to achieve independence lmao.

The London tax revenues is a ploy to get revenue off of Scotland books. If a company has it's HQ in London, as many do, then that's deemed London revenue even if the actual tax was initially raised in Glasgow or Grimsby store

I think an independent London is as careless as most of them are in Parliament that are suppose to represent us all and not themselves. I think the solution to all of this would really be a devolution upon the counties that we have today. And, the likes of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales remaining part of the new clan of the United Kingdom. Politics lacks transparency and even will with my thoughts but ones own county is the best for ones own best interests than a party or a person in a place deciding it for everyone. To far left, to far right. I mean politics is broken. Given money to areas of how much they want to give and not how much they need, putting funds in the pockets of others and companies rather than the people and services that define us as a country. Wasting money on shit and wars where we should have a voice or a say of where it should be going but the bells of Big Ben are to high to reach! Ha, let’s not forget how old in tradition in our set ways of how politics works and never changes into the future. Is that really what makes us British/UKish?

Forget the means of London independence and listen to this… What about the elected Prime Minister only having control to represent us internationally. I mean, in the UK on a county basis being able to take in its own full profits/taxes and spend it on what we need to do on a county basis. Pay a percentage that is agreed upon nationally collectively by the public, MPs and councilors to pay for things like defence, what percentage of the county’s GDP that should go towards to pay all national debt off and bit extra to support and build funds up for helping other cities do well that isn’t otherwise. Nationally and collectively (Locally on a county basis would be to problematic) agree what taxes the public and companies should be paying. As for laws, parliament shouldn’t be the place or the hub of the capital making the decisions that everyone has to travel to. But, instead councilors and MPs on a county and on a local basis collectively coming up with the laws (THATS OF THE NATIONAL INTEREST) and other MPs and councilors throughout the country vote on it and 60% of the votes in the ayes corner or above win for the law to be passed. Anything lower but above 50% should be our right that promotes more in the means of democracy I think for party members and union members to have a say. Aswell a secure and well designed platform that displays everyone’s name. Whether they voted for and against something (That can not be tempered with.), Their party type, a member of it and the people of the unions members/ workers. The vote if it then doesn’t make it over 60% I think they should be a public platform where citizens can vote, for or against it. Putting democracy back in the hands of people and not just government. Anything in line of corruption should be jailed. Specifically if it comes to not doing what’s best for the citizens and the country which needs to be taken more seriously. Then furthermore, it won’t be so much about the party it will be about the individuals/leaders of our local community’s of who’s responsibility it is to give the people what they really want in society. We shouldn’t be making politics a science where it can be working in order to serve the people like it should be. With this idea I think it will get Scotland off our backs for Scottish Independence more and not really making it a matter to be spoken about with Northern Ireland or Wales in the future if we let them do their own thing like we should with all county’s in the United Kingdom. Resizing of county’s is up for discussion I suppose if it’s not political tactic to win elections and more about what we identify as belonging to on a county size/restructure basis.

Yorkshire, Northumbria, Cornwall, should all become indecent countries. The UK has never been one homogenous culture, with each region being fairly distinct. The north is more Nordic, the south west more ancient British etc.

  38. @gilesdunk7416

    December 24, 2023 at 11:40 am

Wales and Cornwall both voted to leave the EU so it is unlikely there would be any support for independence by promising to rejoining the EU. 😂
