In my opinion there is no bias, not that I've noticed so far since discovering your channel. You refer all information with advantages, disadvantages and bring in opinions and evidence from both sides. It is pretty clear to most that TLDR News consists mostly of more left-wing staff, but you never see that come out in showing in the videos, nor do the videos always refer to the latest 'left-wing uproar' as I like to put it. Rather, you put out content that affects all or most, with plenty of cross-spectrum opinion. All in all it encourages us viewers to make up our own opinion and I often find myself finding alternative sources that talk about the topic to learn more about it and see what other points are being raised that you might have missed. That's real, educational journalism and you guys do it so well. Meanwhile I'd argue that modern day state media tends to "tell you how to feel about an event and you have to figure out how or if it really happened or not", which divides us far more.

I liked it as it was. I appreciated the detail and creativity displayed in the animations.

When it comes to like, subscribe, bell, misc YT BS i think it would be more digestible if it was silent, as it is it become gratuitous to hear i every single time.
Ads i do not like but wont bother complaining about because this site is … well we did get the stats in the video so yeah i get it i do not like it but i get it.

Otherwise i appreciate the work. i somehow mainline TLDR rather than TLDR EU… which is more in line with what i ought to be watching (i really do not want to deal with things that directly impact me it seems)

Ah yes the news without John Bercow is little less stellar, no more flying Flemingos or his order demands. sigh such is nature of the beast tho.

You are a channel about the UK, your public is people who like the UK. You should be conscious it's ok to have a slight national bias on this channel and a slight international bias on the other channels.

  7. @politisdimitrios2307

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

I am new here but any chance you have too many channels and types of videos? Thanks for your work till now and keep it up!

  8. @joefothergill6303

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

My main issue now is more and more of your videos leave out important points or errors that could easily be construed as misinformation. The monarchy one is a good example, while it is obvious the UK monarchy dates back to 927 not 1927, by leaving in the 1927 error it makes your work seem shoddy. Obviously redoing the video is time consuming but a pinned comment or card on screen correcting such errors would go a long way.

  9. @LondonWalkability

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

People complaining that the vids are too left wing, what planet are they on? How far to the right are they that they see this moderately centrist content as left wing loool

I appreciate the transparency and effort in engaging with your audience, but the people complaining about promos sound entitled to me. If you don't think 30 seconds of your time is worth the effort put into one of these videos then you vastly overvalue your own time.

TLDR…. Pls Inflation adjust as average prices were actually higher in 2004-8.
RPI adjusted average house price in

    Q1 2008 = £249k
    Q2 2020 = £220k

  23. @MrLurchsThings

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

Having been watching a few videos this week. Not just here, but other news channels too.
I suspect that many likes/dislikes correlate to the actual subject at hand. IE you’re getting a dislike when a viewer disagrees or dislikes the subject, not necessarily the actual video.
Admittedly, that’s not very fair on you. It’s basically shooting the messenger.

  24. @davidcooks2379

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

A short recap under the video.

Knowing that your are the least paid person on TLDR made me support you on patreon. I think more videos where you talk about the realities of the channel would be useful. I'd like to know how you research the topics, what your sources are, how you make animation… and what your full time job is

  26. @Sarge92

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

i like the videos they get really deep into the subject but i do feel they are impartial

my main concern was the brexit coverage it was all eu centric focusing on why it was absolutley impossible and never could a deal be met and how wed fall apart once brexit hit

a few times even when we had strong strong bargaining chips at our disposal theyd be compleatly ignored focusing on how we needed the eu more

    examples
not taking into account just how much the eu needs us as we rank 2nd behind germany for our input to the eu on trade and other programs
not taking into account just how valuable fishing rights are to the eu in the negotiations

theese are the bestt examples i can come up with from memory

but yes the videos are good just for that topic atleast it seems you picked the side and the channel swung to championing the eu for a while

  27. @belshanaar6317

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

7:55 The example message when reporting impartiality issues "Your intro includes Macron and Merkel but not any eastern european leaders, this is CLEAR BIAS!" comes across as disingenuous. It gives us the impression that you do not treat this issue very seriously. It also paints those who raise such complaints as fools who should not be taken seriously.

  28. @pierre-christophedagherfal6698

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

Your content is great. More of a Global watcher, but you even got me here with the fringe parties in the UK. Keep it up, it's great!

  29. @perjohanaxell9862

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

You are a very interesting channel. I think brexit has made the UK channel unnaturaly big. I'm from Sweden and I watched very intesivly during brexit. Now there is more topics that are less interesting to me personally and I drift over to the EU channel more.

  30. @edcameron

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

Honestly you are my favourite news source. Good for kids and adults alike

  31. @jobbygerm2706

You're not appearing in my feed as much as before. I don't use the BEll icon as i don't want You Tube spam in my inbox

  33. @davidwarburton-burley9967

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

You're one of my more trusted sources. Yes I don't always agree with what you say but that's not generally an issue of it's simply down to differing interpretations of events.

You don't engage in the clear bias/propaganda which has turned me off from mainstream news outlets.

  34. @stephen7218

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

Dont like channels that show host, especially those with windmill hands.

  35. @tonybareham7573

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

    1. you ask for feedback, 2. make a video telling your viewers why you do it the way you do without truly understanding that if someone takes the time to respond to you they must really be irritated by whatever it is. this modern culture in the media / internet of never accepting your wrong, accepting criticism or heaven forbid.. apologising, and to just continue explaining your opinion and expecting that to be the end of the issue is truly infuriating… stopped watching at 9 1/2 mins! Creators need to understand that your own Ads combined with YouTubes ads mean a ridiculous number of ads in a few minutes long video and is getting truly infuriating.. so much so that I have started slimming down which channels I'm subbed to in part based on whether they have too many ads vs content

  36. @jezusbloodie

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

    Some viewing notes:

    – there is a website!?!
    – I strongly agree with subdividing content to different channels
    – the clickbait has indeed been a bit much occasionally, and although I rather not have it personally I won't argue for that because that's just the YouTube meta
    – TLDRnews Space when?

  37. @drownedcactus5618

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

When people say it's bias it just means they're not promoting their false narratives.

  38. @PShawtx

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

Is there other ways for your channel to make an income other than threw youtube. It would be a good idea to get away from making money from youtube company.

Put links to your other channels in the video description sections of your videos on all your videos. This would help get people to check out the other channels and get more subscribers. Love your channels.

  39. @casey653

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

just because you uploaded this video, if there was ever a time where my endorsement mattered, This news channel would be at the top easy

  40. @terrencewhite8046

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

% I watched my first TLDR video "The War Against Woke Universities: Johnson's New 'Free Speech Champion' Explained – TLDR News" Sorry. You are totally biased. Just saying that you are independent and unbiased is not sufficient – you actually need to work at it. The intro framing – suggesting that it was not a central issue when 49% are concerned, using semi-pejoratives like "so-called" without cause, misrepresenting the Common Sense Group (you know that they are not ONLY about changing two street signs- completely misleading). If 22% of the student population think their free speech is restricted at their own university that's a real, big problem, especially considering you say there is already supposed to be someone looking after it. Could go on but I doubt you actually care to listen. Its quite obvious to me that TDLR is yet another disingenuous, misleading mouthpiece for the radical left. Happy declining viewer figures.

  41. @jimmyryan5880

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

Dont forget about the people that didnt complain. Dont ruin what you have.

  42. @thegreatestgeek2598

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

Personally.. I don't see any problems with how this channel has developed. I love this, and all your channels dedication to neutrality and factual correctness, as fighting misinformation and educating the public is a very noble venture. To put it simply your videos are fun to watch and I love them.

  43. @calimanache3681

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

Thank you for the ton of content you make More than any other youtuber!

  44. @nicobernard

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am

I very much appreciate your work and efforts, don't think the videos are too long, quite the opposite (Yes I know it's called TLDR for a reason).
Would you consider doing long videos ? For any of your channels, 20mn, 30mn or more, to go into a subject in details. I would love this !

  45. @hannahg8439

    December 23, 2023 at 1:00 am
