Total rubbish, so-called renewables are the most expensive source of power and as we have seen are not even reliable when the sun doesnt shine or the wind drops or even gets too strong.
This cultist from the Independent, a left wing propaganda rag, hasnt got a clue about the facts at all.
Where does he think all the materials to make solar panels, wind turbines and giant batteries will come from AND go to at the end of thier lives? Its not environmentally friendly at all when you factor in every stage and not just when they're installed and operating.

Fraking has poisoned the water in some places and caused earthquakes, how the fuck can people pretend itâs not harmful.. such a self destructive species

They can afford to put solar panels on their roofs Iâm sure typical of Anne in particular

We need a vote on Boris and his Cronies before they destroy the UK ! If Fracking was dangerous 12 month ago its still dangerous if these politicians hadn't been so short sighted we wouldn't be in this position ! as for the clown talking nonsense Wind and Solar only work when the wind blows or the sun shines green energy is only part of the solution

If this guy really generates three times as much energy as he uses why is there an energy shortage ?

Anyone who believes insulating homes thinks it will reduce prices doesn't understand the laws of thermodynamics or economics.
Or to bruh it.
Shit needs to move so you eat. And if it gets cold you can wear a jumper.
Also that financial incentive meant people struggled to sell they're homes as they didn't own the house technically.

What people want is less talk from a bunch of experts , but lower energy prices

MESSAGE TO GB NEWS: If you are going to provide a platform for propagandists like this clown from the Independent you may as well pull the plug now. The entire point of GB News, I would have thought, is to provide a platform to counter the media monopoly these activists have enjoyed on the BBC, Sky etc. What I DON'T expect on GB News is a rambling promotion of eye-wateringly expensive (and horrendously inefficient) "renewables", backed up by wittering presenters – one of whom seems to think she's back on 80s breakfast telly.
I'm working class. Our ancient and drafty council house was clad in insulation a couple of years ago – it has made naff-all difference and we've just received an estimate that our electricity bill will increase by almost 100% over the coming year. That's really helped us. My place of work has recently had acres of solar panels removed – because they are shit at producing energy in northern latitudes.
I'll give you an excample of why our energy bills are going through the roof: the UK Drax power station was the most efficient and clean coal-fired power station in Europe. It was converted (at huge expense) to burn wood pellets. These wood pelets are produced by felling oxygen-producing forests in North Carolina. They are then shipped 3,800 miles to the UK to be burned at Drax (which now emits more CO2 than it did previously). Since 2012, the Drax power station has received more than ÂŁ4 billion in direct subsidies. By the time its subsidies expire in 2027 it will have received another ÂŁ6 billion.
If you are interested, look up neodymium (required for electric car batteries and wind turbines), its toxicity, and who controls almost the entire global supply. GB NEWS! You need to find some better researchers.

WHY does this horrible little man keep getting airtime??? he actually said nothing of any truth in this interview, he is a paid activist and commends the protestors when they stop ambulances from getting patients to hospital!

If wind farms are so efficient why do I pay a "green surchange"? Why isn't this man calling for a boycott on Chinese and Indian goods? No point in reducing under 1% to zero when it's a spit in a bucket.

Advocates for "saving the planet from the climate crisis" need to realize that by standing against fracking and nuclear energy and other such powerful and effective alternatives ………… the downsides of fracking and nuclear power are nothing compared to the planet going pop.
This is the simple reasoning why i dont buy into all the fear mongering. They refuse to do the obvious safe and cheap solutions in favor of making money flow right to their pockets.
(Clean air zones for example, disrupt the infrastructure or generate income: They do not create a clean air zone, they simply tax people, causing them to just pay, or go alternate routes)
@gilbert7794
January 23, 2024 at 1:09 am
And the very poorest do not own their homes so cannot simply install toxic solar panels.

Save the bees, save the trees, save the whales save those snails!
Over 99% of all living species that have ever lived have become extinct. We didn't kill them all. They just went away. It's estimated that they are disappearing at the rate of 25 species a day. Regardless of what we do.The greatest arrogance of all saving the planet. What are these fucking idiots taliking about?
The planet has been through a lot, lot worse than us. Been through earthquakes, volcanoes, plate tectonics, continental drift, solar flares, sun spots, magnetic storms, the magnetic reversal of the poles ⊠hundreds of thousands of years of bombardment by comets and asteroids and meteors, worldwide floods, tidal waves, worldwide fires, erosion, cosmic rays, recurring ice ages ⊠And we think some plastic bags and some aluminum cans are going to make a difference? The planet isn't going anywhere. WE are!
We're going away. Pack your shit, folks. We're going away. And we won't leave much of a trace, either. Maybe a little styrofoam ⊠The planet'll be here and we'll be long gone. Just another failed mutation. Just another closed-end biological mistake. An evolutionary cul-de-sac. The planet'll shake us off like a bad case of fleas.
The planet will be here for a long, long, LONG time after we're gone, and it will heal itself, it will cleanse itself, 'cause that's what it does. It's a self-correcting system. The air and the water will recover, the earth will be renewed. And if it's true that plastic is not degradable, well, the planet will simply incorporate plastic into a new paradigm: the earth plus plastic. The earth doesn't share our prejudice toward plastic. Plastic came out of the earth. The earth probably sees plastic as just another one of its children. Could be the only reason the earth allowed us to be spawned from it in the first place. It wanted plastic for itself. Didn't know how to make it. Needed us. Could be the answer to our age-old philosophical question, "Why are we here?"
"Plastic… assholes"
