The scandal over Nadhim Zahawi’s tax affairs has only grown since it was reported he’d agreed to pay HMRC millions earlier this year. So what exactly is going on here? Will this be the end of Zahawi’s political career? And what does this mean for Sunak?

Why is the editing of the videos still this bad even after all this time? I've tried pointing it out in a bunch of old videos in a friendly way a few times. But it's getting really distracting with the awful cuts and typos.

other than that love the vids, just please get a better editor.

    Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 Celebration 🍾
PM Rishi Sunak has sacked Conservative Party chair Nadhim Zahawi following weeks of revelations about his tax affairs
The prime minister says it is "clear that there has been a serious breach of the Ministerial Code"

    You seem to contradict yourself.

    2:46

"As the shares were issued in Gibraltar they were not subject to a capital gains tax."

    5:46
"This penalty was triggered as a result of a non payment of capital gains tax as result of the sale of shares in YouGov."

    ????

    Definition of issued shares:
"Issued shares are those that the owners have decided to sell in exchange for cash,"

If the shares are sold in Gibraltar they not subject to UK capital gains tax and yet Zahawi is subject to UK capital gains tax? I don't get it.

Mr Sunak's 'due process' reply is simply kicking the ball into touch. His decision to do this is shilly-shallying and cowardly. Friendship for a colleague is not enough to justify delaying what can only end in one way by passing the buck.. He is taking the British people for a ride. He may not have heard the old English expression:"What the fool does in the end the wise Man does in the beginning". Mr Sunak side-stepped Davos and now he is sidestepping his decision-making duty. One can only describe these as the actions (inactions!) of a weak leader.

Same old Johnsonian doubling down, protecting MPs, dragging it out until it's inevitable conclusion of sacking or resignation. Sunak has only ordered this investigation so that he can get someone else to say Zahawi has to go. Regardless of the detail of how it came about, the facts are that a millionaire Tory has had to pay a whopping penalty for non payment of tax whilst ordinary people in this country are struggling to pay the bills and that the multi millionaire PM is reluctant to sach him. We don't need Sunaks enquiry – HMRC have already done the legwork for him.
