    COUTTS:
It requires only 10% of Shareholders to call for an EGM.

Surely this is not very complicated.

That statement from Coutts was very nastily put together , it retracted nothing , was not in anyway sorry for its actions , whilst upholding its current position against Nigel Farage .
Arrogant and clearly not fit to be bankers who are only in existence due to bail out funds from British tax payers . I think the British tax payers should call in the dept without further notice .

The Bank lied about Nigel Farage and maliciously leaked these lies to it's fake news media puppets, the BBC and the Guardian. Alison Rose, the Bank's CEO, who's paid £5M a year in salary plus bonuses, obviously won't resign easily but she must be held to account and fired. Her apology was pathetic and woefully inadequate. Where is the Bank's Board and Chairman? Why isn't the Banking Ombudsman up in arms? Ms Rose needs to be grilled by MPs at a special hearing, together with those who accused Nigel Farage of taking money from Russia, yet another lie! These holier-than-thou cretins should all be fired, as well as Labour MP Chris Bryant, who lied about the alleged Russian bribes to Nigel Farage. It's a disgrace of the Queens Bank, a former pillar of the Private Banking sector to be aligning itself with LGBTQ+ issues and destroying it's once beautiful facade with colours of the rainbow, then to convene a meeting to deride Mr Farage's political opinions, including his association with Donald Trump. This matter of Banks cancelling customer's accounts is of critical importance, especially in light of the WEF's dispicable plan to control the population through CBDC (digital currency) and make cash illegal. Banks should be forced to offering a service and keep out of political and cultural matters, which are not their concern. The Government must step in to regulate this now! The fact that the diminutive Rishi Sunak has squeeked his mild dissatisfaction is a diversion and a bit of rotting meat to conservatives, because he's just a Globalist puppet of the Elites. Sadly, the brainwashed Sheeple continue to live in blissful ignorance and nobody is protesting, bar perhaps 1% of those whom are awake to the NWO diabolical agenda of total control. Apparently folks, we will "own nothing and be happy! "

It's hilarious that Coutts should cite client reputation (or lack of) as being a valid reason to close an account, as Coutts' own reputation is now in tatters.

The last time I looked the 'values' of a bank is to make money.
I am pretty sure there is legislation which required banks to allow benefits claimants to have a facility which was done so that the DWP to pay Welfare without using the paper based 'Giro' system.

  27. @jamesthompson7138

It's a private company. It can choose to get rid of scum like him

  29. @92RedRevolver

    December 20, 2023 at 11:07 am

Why? Coutts didn't do anything wrong and Nigel Farage hasn't been denied a bank account, as there are numerous other banks for him to bank with. Pretty sure they tried to offer him a normal NatWest personal and business account and he refused because he wanted to play the victim. He's not a victim, he's not had his account frozen so he cannot withdraw or manage his money, they told him that they wouldn't continue to keep him as a customer due to his mortgage term ending.

Ultimately, self-styled libertarians like Nigel Farage believe businesses should be private and in control of their own affairs. Nigel is also pretty poor (at least to Coutts) and if they feel bigger clients, with more money, may bank elsewhere then they're keeping themselves competitive in the spirit of capitalism. He's also not being denied his free speech, he's just reaping some consequences for once.

This is an abuse of power on behalf of the government, who have the interests of everyone to look after, and we're in a crisis period of politics. Coutts is definitely not a bank of the people, it's not a basic banking service, it would definitely be different if the average person was told they couldn't continue to use their NationWide Flex Account or whatever.

To note, Coutts, in their report, actually already acknowledge the 'risk' of Nigel Farage going public if they made the decision they did, wherein they note he definitely was going to go to the press. Even still, they made this decision. If there wasn't a sincere and thought-out process that went on behind the scenes, there wouldn't be such a well-reasoned and researched report to explain their decision.

  32. @oliveradams8711

Any new law the government brings in will be utterly useless in the face of this coordinated global totalitarianism, because it'll be written by the civil service. The total annihilation of freedom of speech and all of our civil liberties is one of the key missions of the British civil service.

  36. @alexpalmer776

    December 20, 2023 at 11:07 am

Coutts needs to be investigated by parliament to see if the management and directors are fit to hold a banking licence.

    December 20, 2023 at 11:07 am

Regular person would have no chance fact Nigel is a politician and has brexit mp's on his side apparently the King got invovled to stop this financial tyranny . worrying times for the west more gov control more lgbt trans stop oil greta crazed organisations

  38. @drummingtildeath

    December 20, 2023 at 11:07 am

Erm… they can't do anything about Coutts closing Farage's account unless their solution I'd to force Coutts to keep an account open that doesn't meet their minimum financial requirements.
Even if they say "you can't close an account based on politics", they can still just close it based on the lack of funds.

It's also a bit weird to say they can't choose who they associate with. The only thing that normally prevents that is the legislation on discrimination, which doesn't cover politics. I guess they'd have to expand the anti-discrimination laws which is sort of the opposite of what Farage and his supporters normally wants. And I suspect it would have some unintended consequences that would really upset his ilk.

  39. @penbee9316

    December 20, 2023 at 11:07 am

The bank would have to follow the rules and laws of Gov. They must of had Gov approval. Needs to be a full inquiry.

  40. @commonwunder

    December 20, 2023 at 11:07 am

Coutts offers premier bank account services for wealthy elites. Farage may be extremely noisy, but he's not an elite or wealthy.
Coutts offered Farage a normal 'peasant' Natwest account… but he got very upset and refused it.
He enjoyed pretending he was 'somebody important' by showing off his Coutts credit card and chequebook
Instead of feeling embarrassed, he's trying to use the situation to drum up hatred and garner fame.

Coutts are such scumbags, street conmen can learn a few tricks from them. How can such dishonest corrupt "Banks" retain their banking license?

  42. @ronwhitehouse23

    December 20, 2023 at 11:07 am

He hasn't got a Royal title.!!

  43. @fydstar

    December 20, 2023 at 11:07 am

Farage is a conman and he deserves whatever discomfort comes his way. If you don’t agree you’re either complicit in the running down of our country or you’re an idiot.

  44. @andybrown4284

    December 20, 2023 at 11:07 am

A bank that trades on its reputation and discretion is still well within its rights to refuse custom from folk they find undesirable such as attention whores like nige.
