Spain election: Conservatives fall short of all-out victory in polls – BBC News
Spain’s opposition conservative party leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo has claimed victory in a snap election, but without the result he needed.
Even with the support of the far right, his Popular Party has fallen short of a majority in parliament.
The cheers at the rival Socialist camp were just as loud as Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez declared: “The reactionary bloc has failed.”
While both can claim success, Spain is left with an inconclusive result.

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.
In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.
He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.
Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.
Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.
The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.
It comes after another night of strikes between the US and Iran, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps saying it hit two UAE tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted US facilities in Jordan and Bahrain.
The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.
Meanwhile, the US military says it completed strikes on targets aimed at degrading “Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping” – Iranian state media reports three people were killed.

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.
Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.
President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

PP is centre-right, VOX is right.
Many Spaniards see VOX as a lesser evil.
PSOE needs Bildu (a Basque independentist party with some members convicted of ETA terror group, including murder); and other Basque and Catalan independentist parties – including Junts, with a fugitive as the key to the elections (requesting a referendum for Catalonia's independence).
Of course, all of these parties are constitutional and have legitimate voters, but some may think that VOX could be a "better" option.

As an anti-european muslim living in Saudi , it doesnt make a difference to me if a right wing conservative wins any election in Europe, they will still not fight for traditional common sense values, family values, masculinity, and they will still have to abide by the 🏳️🌈 agenda and 🇮🇱 agenda given to them by the US lol
The only thing (right wing-ish) they will be doing is the typpical blabber about anti immigration, anti islamization etc just to keep the sheep happy
But other than that they are just another side of the same coin

The Japanese government has a Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary named Seiji Kihara. His wife had previously been interviewed as a material witness in a murder case. However, the female detective assigned to the case was suddenly removed from the case and the investigation headquarters was disbanded. There were suspicions of murder by the wife, but it was ruled a suicide. The result was so bizarre that some have suggested that Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Seiji Kihara and the Liberal Democratic Party may have exerted pressure on the police. However, the Japanese media did not report the issue at all. We hope that the British Broadcasting Corporation will report the dark side of Japan with justice and journalistic spirit.

Right wing PP won the elections but, fortunately, won't be able to form a government. Fascist party Vox lost almost twenty members in the parliament so there aren't enough votes.
The good new is that left wing front (Psoe, Sumar, EH Bildu, ERC…etc) wil be able to form a new progressist goverment. Most of us, spanish people, are very happy with it.

Democracy everywhere is in real trouble. Far too much far right wing nationalism rearing its ugly head. Just like it did in the 1930s. Too many Democratic countries with only two parties in the running which is basically one step away from Oligarchy. It's been heading this way since the Iraq war.
