Suez Canal blocked after huge container ship wedged across it – BBC News
A giant container ship the length of four football pitches has become wedged across Egypt’s Suez Canal, blocking one of the world’s busiest trade routes.
Dozens of vessels are stuck, waiting for rescue boats to free the 400m-long (1,312ft) ship, which was knocked off course by strong winds.
Egypt has reopened the canal’s older channel to divert some traffic until the grounded ship can move again.

Xbox CEO on the “crisis” facing gaming hardware | BBC News
Xbox chief executive Asha Sharma says the gaming giant needs to be “thinking about” affordability for its next-generation console, amid a “crisis” in computing prices.
Speaking exclusively to the BBC’s Laura Cress at Gamescom in Cologne, she said rising hardware costs partly driven by AI spending mean firms need to find ways to make gaming affordable.
She also revealed gamers will soon be able to get digital versions of many of the physical games they currently own, potentially meaning their old games can be played on future Xbox consoles without having to put a disc in a drive.

Charlie Kirk case prosecutors can seek death penalty, says judge | BBC News
A 23-year-old Utah man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk – as a judge ruled prosecutors can seek the death penalty at trial.
Tyler Robinson denies aggravated murder, a capital offence in Utah, and six other charges in connection with the shooting of Kirk at a campus event on 10 September 2025.
Defence lawyers had tried to have the death penalty taken off the table, but prosecutors argued that aggravating factors, such as firing into a crowd in the presence of children, warranted a capital trial.
Turning Point USA co-founder Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem.

All shipping at this scale should cease. The world we live in is the only known world with life, and the only known world with such diversity of life that is eradicated at this rate. Please stop. Humankind is an obvious plague to this planet. Every day several irreplaceble species are lost forever, millions of years of evolution lost because of short-term capitalism, money-making yacht-di*** capitalism is the downfall of humanity

Now a Greek cargo ship blocked the canal due to engine failure. Do they have to pay compensation to Suez Canal authority for stopping the traffic?

It seems almost intentionally naive to have such an easily obstructed or otherwise blockable trade route. I realize the undertaking and the expense, but it would probably be a good idea to update this canal, and build in some redundancy (alternate route and/or workaround). How long before an "act of terrorism" targets a place like this and renders it useless for months or even years?? The only reason it hasn't happened yet, is because the people who stand to lose the most from such an attack, happen to be the ones who orchestrate them. But once something happens, or they decide it's worth it, mark my words, this place WILL BE targeted successfully, along with who knows what else, and bam, instant depression….

This must have given joe biden an idea, after seeing the back log and supply chain breakage…he used it on America…just ask yourself what's the worst thing to do at the boarder?….that's right, wide open…..what's the worst way to leave Afghanistan?….that's right cut and run….best way to lower gas prices?…any one?…that's right double or triple the price of gas….how does joe briben hurt russia?…santions the oil…that's exactly how he "helps" America….there's no issue joe Briben can't f-up..

This isn't first time that Japan fcked the world. Blame 30MPH wind for blockage is another lies created by Japanese. Japan stopped Russia from leaking Chernobyl nuclear accident water into ocean. Now they are saying that they will leak Fukushima radioactive water. If it's clean then why are they fighting it so hard from IAEA from verify their data. Japanese government don't have to say that they are lying about how radiated Fukushima water is because their action tells it all. Japan with many earthquakes must not have any nuclear power station because it's danger to the world.

It was a successful test run for china
China did the Suez traffic jam to test what would happen ???
And why did china do it ??
Answer to see if it could block the ships from West countries like Europe and USA for example war ships
So why would china want to block USA war ships from coming into Asians water.
Simple china will attack Taiwan but USA and Europe will try to interfere so in order to test if they can block their war ship from coming they have conducted a successful test run of the blockage lol😂😂😂
Yes I am a genius
