Britain saw net migration of 606,000 people in 2022, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said, with 1.2 million people arriving in the country and about half that number leaving.
The vast majority of people arriving-925,000 -were non-EU nationals, and around one in 12 of those were asylum seekers, included for the first time in the ONS' annual release.
Rishi have sought to focus attention on refugees and asylum-seekers crossing the English Channel on small boats, rather than on overall migration, despite that route representing a tiny proportion of arrivals to the UK.
    Thank you Rishi.

GB news is controlled opposition, these people want you to obsess about illegal migration but not legal migration. call it what it is, its no migration, its an invasion

  9. @ps6572

    January 11, 2024 at 2:07 pm

we need to stop legal aid and turn back the boats. Those who don’t want to do that , should pick up the costs of asylum seekers themselves and take responsibility for them.

    January 11, 2024 at 2:07 pm

Don't worry, befor long the country will dissappear below the waves with the weight of illegal immigrants, and the financial burden on this country, if the European Union court Human rights wants to complain, perhaps a multi Billion pound pacage by them might help, rant over.

This twit should be the first one put on a flight to Rwanda with a one way ticket, until the wishes of the people are upheld; all these illegals are doing is laughing in the face of patriotic UK citizens.

This uncontrolled demolition of western civilisation by mass immigration goes on apace, why? (read: 2030: Your Children's Future in Islamic Britain) when even in America's most radical Left city the Mayor of New York City says that the illegal immigration crisis has 'destroyed' his city, and has noted that the Biden administration has done nothing to help deal with the problem they created.

"The city is being destroyed by the migrant crisis," said Mayor Eric Adams (D) in a Friday panel discussion hosted by the African American Mayors Association in Washington D.C. Adams is black, as are the rest of his association, white liberals are pushing mass immigration in Britain (mainly our diverse , open borders civil service), Europe and the US, it IS a globalist plot and it is not "Racist" to oppose it.

Always more concerned by the rest of world.. yet when these kind of ppl talk on climate its because of the size of the population, its like they want to see indigenous who suffer poverty already, completely in the gutter, it's rather scary to be fare to think these ppl are so intent on pushing for more when it's not sustainable.

Amnesty and the lefty legal lawyers will always try to overturn any sensible way of restricting illegal immigration. Unfortunately Amnesty’s arguments are at total odds with he view of the majority of the country, which is why donations to them are drying up.

He's a passive-aggressive person, don't do as you want, do as we want! The fact that the whole country is already suffering under this immigration fiasco and that things DO have to change he doesn't get – WE ARE LIVING HIS IDEAL of 'towing the line in law abiding' but it is insane to presume we can continue? Life isn't a bed of roses as in order to rescue the few, we are also taking on board a few million! SORRY STEVE – YOU'RE JUST NOT RIGHT!

Watch as Will Kensington expresses concern about the state of the UK, arguing that Downing Street is no longer a place of power but has instead become Britain’s most expensive Airbnb.

This comes as Andy Burnham is set to become the UK’s seventh Prime Minister in a decade, with seemingly no one challenging the “King of the North” for the country’s top job.
