SYNOPSIS:
The Blue Gardenia follows Norah Larkin, a young woman working as a switchboard operator in Los Angeles, quietly longing for love while stuck in a life of emotional isolation. When she receives a letter suggesting her boyfriend may be unfaithful, Norah impulsively agrees to a date with a smooth but dangerous stranger.
After a night of heavy drinking and emotional turmoil, Norah wakes up unable to remember what happened — only to discover that the man she met has been murdered. As suspicion grows and a cynical newspaper columnist begins to exploit the case, Norah becomes trapped in fear, guilt, and uncertainty. Racing against time, she must uncover the truth of that night before she becomes the next victim. Directed by Fritz Lang, the film delivers sharp dialogue, moody visuals, and a haunting portrait of vulnerability and obsession.
