Heathrow’s third runway is to be delayed until 2039 as Rachel Reeves’ £49billion plan has been blasted as “unrealistic”.

Airport bosses have told ministers the current 2035 deadline is not possible, which was set by the former Chancellor.

Ms Reeves backed the third runway plans last year, arguing it would create 100,000 jobs and significantly boost the economy.

She set a 10-year deadline, with the support of Sir Keir Starmer, which has now been extended by a further four years.

Watch as GB News’ Political Editor Christopher Hope challenges Reform UK’s Suella Braverman after party officials were involved in an undercover donations sting.

Two senior Reform UK aides have stepped down from their roles in the party following an investigation into illegal party donations.

Footage from Channel 4 appeared to show the party’s Head of Policy James Orr and Nigel Farage’s long-serving aide Dan Jukes arranging for a US company to fund three polls for the party costing a total of £32,500.

Speaking to GB News fro mthe Reform UK conference in Birmingham, Ms. Braverman said: “We’ve got to just kind of calm down around all of this. We’ve taken very senior legal advice from a King’s Counsel, can’t get more senior than that in terms of legal advice, who confirms that no laws have been broken. So I think we do need to keep things in perspective.”

She added: “We’ve got to bear in mind that this has been motivated by a political organisation and activism.”
