‘It seems to me Labour has effectively legalised shoplifting.’

GB News Presenter Alex Armstrong blasts Justice Secretary David Lammy and the Labour Government for not ‘getting a grip’ on crime, as plans reveal around 12,000 shoplifters could avoid jail. With high streets under immense strain and shoplifting costing the economy, the discussion centres on Justice Secretary David Lammy’s failure to get a grip on rising crime.

From the controversial early release scheme to the ‘decriminalisation’ of short-term offences, the panel clashes over whether prison is the right deterrent or if community-based alternatives are just a ‘soft’ approach to a growing crisis.

REVEALED: More than 6,000 children were referred to the anti-terror Prevent scheme last year, staggering new data has revealed.

Uncovered by the Daily Mail, a record number of under-18s were referred to the scheme over concerns for their “obsession” with “violence and extremism”.

The latest figures show 6,085 children were referred to the programme last year, a threefold increase from the 2,129 cases logged in 2020.

The data was obtained by the Conservative Party through freedom of information requests to the National Police Chiefs’ Council.

Meghan’s father branded ‘possible sex offender of the grossest kind’ by Philippine minister

Published

The Philippines’ interior minister Jonvic Remulla has claimed Thomas Markle Senior appears to be a “possible sex offender of the grossest kind.”

Mr Remulla said forensic investigators are expected to complete their work within seven days, at which point a formal statement will be issued.

Thomas Markle Snr. has acknowledged paying for sex in the Southeast Asian nation but categorically denies possessing any child sexual abuse material and engaging in sexual activity with anyone under 18.

The discovery that prompted the investigation came from Meghan’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr, who told The Sun on Friday that he had uncovered child sex abuse images at their father’s former Philippine residence. He subsequently filed reports with both Philippine authorities and the FBI.

The Duchess of Sussex wrote what was described as a final letter to her father during his recovery from a leg amputation last year, GB News understands.

Thomas Sr., 82, has also been strongly defended by Meghan’s half-sister Samantha, who says the claims are false and form part of a “vendetta” Thomas Jr. has against their father.

Royal commentator Jennie Bond tells GB News she now understands why Meghan seemingly kept her distance from her father.
