Vintage in Pills VERSUS Spring 1997 Milan – Fashion Channel

Versus Versace was one of the most visible diffusion lines to emerge during the expansion of fashion in the 1990s. Designed by Donatella Versace, the co-ed label carried forward the house’s associations with glamour and bold styling in a more accessible format.

The Spring 1997 collection developed around two main directions. One centered on eveningwear, featuring slinky dresses in knit and high-shine satin, shown in a range of lengths and hemlines, including a red fishtail silhouette. The other explored contrasting patterns and clashing prints, a recurring element in Donatella Versace’s design language, used across both menswear and womenswear looks.

A fleet of 13 F50 foiling catamarans will tear around the Waitematā Harbour this weekend in SailGP’s return to New Zealand.

Last year was the first time Auckland hosted SailGP – drawing more than 25,000 spectators.
