Zia Yusuf BLASTS hypocrite MPs as Reform unveils security plan after Ann Widdecombe murder

Published

on

By

Reform UK’s Home Affairs Spokesperson Zia Yusuf responds to the political fallout following the murder of Ann Widdecombe, condemning politicians who have compared Reform UK to “Nazis” and arguing that such rhetoric has no place in public life. He criticises comments made by senior political figures, including David Lammy, Wes Streeting and Jess Phillips, and calls on the Leader of the Opposition to dismiss the Conservative Party Chairman over remarks he says likened Reform to Nazis, insisting that “nothing about comparing anyone at Reform to Nazis is funny.”

Zia Yusuf pays tribute to Ann Widdecombe, describing her as someone who “made Britain a better place,” while stressing that “an attack on a politician is an assault on democracy itself.” He also discusses the security risks faced by public figures, claiming Reform UK leader Nigel Farage lives under an “ever present threat of mortal danger.” Yusuf outlines what he says a Reform government would do to improve the protection of MPs, including a commitment to provide around-the-clock security for all Members of Parliament regardless of party, and responds to suggestions that policing could be politically biased against Reform.
