Diego Della Valle, presidente del gruppo Tod’s, è stato insignito del titolo di ‘Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres’ dal governo francese.
Il grado è una delle principali onorificenze della Repubblica francese e riconosce l’impegno dell’imprenditore marchigiano del lusso a sostegno dell’arte, della moda e del patrimonio culturale.
Un riconoscimento internazionale per un imprenditore “illuminato” che, nel tempo, ha saputo coniugare la sua attività con un impegno costante e appassionato per sostenere l’arte, la moda e il patrimonio culturale.
La decisione del governo francese di insignire Diego della Valle del titolo di ‘Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres’ si configura come un’ onoreficienza che rende merito all’ imprenditore marchigiano su più fronti, riempiendo d’orgoglio anche il nostro paese: non solo perché il grado di Cavaliere dell’Ordine delle Arti e delle Lettere è una delle principali onorificenze della Repubblica francese e viene conferito a personalità che si sono distinte per il loro eccezionale contributo alla diffusione delle arti e della cultura in Francia e nel mondo, ma rende merito anche al costante impegno dell’imprenditore marchigiano sul fronte dell’arte e il forte legame di riconoscenza e amicizia con una capitale della cultura come Parigi, dove Della Valle ha sostenuto istituzioni di rilievo come il Musée des Arts Décoratifs.
Trasformando il piccolo calzaturificio di famiglia in una realtà leader nel settore a livello internazionale, Diego Della Valle entra in azienda nel 1975 e si distingue nella determinazione delle strategie aziendali e nella creazione di marchi, dando inizio allo sviluppo di un innovativo piano di marketing che diventerà un esempio di successo nell’industria dell’alto di gamma.
Nel 2000 Della Valle assume il ruolo di Presidente e CEO della società neo quotata Tod’s spa, che nel 2022 supera il miliardo di ricavi.
Il contributo del presidente del Gruppo Tod’s (che include anche Fay, Hogan e le maison francesi Roger Vivier e Schiaparelli) alla scena artistica e culturale del Belpaese ha previsto, nel corso degli anni, un importante progetto di restauro del Colosseo, del Colle dell’Infinito di Recanati, la costruzione dello stabilimento di Arquata sino agli investimenti che hanno creato “un
dna congiunto italo-francese”, come ha ricordato l’ambasciatrice italiana a Parigi, Emanuela D’Alessandro.
Raffinatezza italiana ed eccellenza francese, in una perfetta fusione di savoir fair di cui Diego Della Valle è stato esimio rappresentante, non solo con TOD’S ma anche con le Maison francesi che fanno capo al gruppo, Roger Vivier ed Elsa Schiaparelli.
