What happens if nobody can form a government? | The Front Page

Published

Imagine waking up after election night to find neither side has enough seats to govern.

Polls have suggested there is a chance we’ll see a hung parliament, with neither the left or right blocs having a majority of seats.

With election day fast approaching, we’re looking under the bonnet of how MMP runs, how coalition talks work, and what happens if parties can’t agree on anything.

Today on The Front Page, University of Otago law professor, Andrew Geddis is with us to break down how Parliament works, what happens if the numbers don’t stack up, and how messy things could get.

How much are closing costs when buying a home in Tulsa, Oklahoma?

According to October 2026 Consumer Housing Trends Report, 42% of recent U.S. homebuyers said their closing costs were higher than expected. Among first-time buyers, the figure was 51%.

Tulsa Realtors Rob and Andrea Schmidt of Rise Home @ McGraw Realtors explain why buyers should plan for lender fees, title expenses, prepaid homeowners insurance, property taxes, and other closing costs in addition to their down payment.

Seller-paid closing costs may be negotiable depending on the purchase agreement and loan requirements.
