WELCOME to my 26th flight in 2017. On 13th December, I flew Japan Airlines brand new economy from Hong Kong (HKG) to Tokyo Haneda (HND). The operating aircraft was a refurbished Boeing 777-200ER. The flight was very fine and the seat was super comfortable. Japan Airlines new economy is definitely worth a go!

Japan Airlines and Cathay Pacific fly to Tokyo Haneda three times a day, and Tokyo Narita six times a day with one via Taipei. Hong Kong Airlines, All Nippon Airways and Hong Kong Express are some other airlines that fly between the cities. Japan Airlines uses B777-200ER to Haneda, and B787-9 to Narita.

‘Farage is wrong!’

Keir Starmer has criticised Nigel Farage for urging people to repsond in “pure cold rage” following the incident in December 2025 in which Henry Nowak was killed by Vickrum Digwa.

Nowak was accused of racism. He was later stabbed with a Sikh ceremonial knife, known as a kirpan.

Police officers at the scene dismissed Nowak’s pleas for help and his claims that he had been stabbed and could not breathe. He eventually died after drowning in his own blood.
