For the chocolate cake:
1 1/2 cups (300g) sugar
1/2 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp baking soda (note to K: or should it go in with the flour?)
1/2 cup (113g) butter, softened
2 large eggs
1/2 cup (125g) milk
2 cups (250g) flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup (235g) boiling water
1 tsp vanilla
For the cream cheese ribbon:
6 tbsp (90 ml) butter, softened
12 oz cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup (150g) sugar
3 tbsp (27g?) corn starch
3 eggs
1/3 cup (80g) milk
2 tsp vanilla
chocolate cream cheese frosting
1 cup (8 ounces; 226 grams) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup (57 grams; 1/2 stick) butter, softened
1/2 cup (43 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
3 cups (340 grams) powdered sugar
