New Titanic scan reveals ground-breaking details of ship’s final hours | BBC News
A digital scan of the Titanic has revealed new insight into the doomed liner’s final hours, including how engineers kept the lights on until the last moment.
The exact 3D replica shows the violence of how the ship ripped in two as it sank after hitting an iceberg in 1912, killing 1,500 people in the disaster.
The scan also provides a new view of a boiler room, confirming eye-witness accounts that engineers worked right to the end to keep the ship’s lights on.

At least 90 people have been killed and hundreds more injured in clashes between police and tens of thousands of anti-government protesters in Bangladesh on Sunday.
The unrest comes as student leaders have declared a campaign of civil disobedience to demand that the nation’s long-serving leader Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina step aside.
The death toll includes at least 13 police officers, and an indefinite nationwide curfew has been put in place to curb further violence.
The student protest – which has been ongoing since July – started with calls to abolish quotas in civil service jobs, but has since transformed into a much wider anti-government movement.

A video showing a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent pointing his gun at a woman has been viewed by millions after she shared the moment on Instagram.
Carolina Molina said she was out delivering business cards in Falls Church, Virginia, when she saw ICE agents, who then surrounded her car.
The US Department of Homeland Security said she “attempted to harm officers by weaponising her vehicle”. Molina has denied this.
