Sadiq Khan has told GB News why he’s backing Andy Burnham as the new Labour leader and Prime Minister, praising his calls for devolution.
The Mayor of London said: “This word ‘devolution’, it’s very simple. It’s taking back control, which your viewers know all about. We were promised we’d have more control. Where is it?”
He added: “People are frustrated. They are fed up… He [Andy Burnham] gets the challenge we face, but has the solutions.”

Donald Trump has slapped the UK with a new 10 per cent import tariff as the global trade war escalates.
The tax will be added onto UK goods after the last levies which were introduced by the US President expire tomorrow.
New duties – spanning from 10 per cent to 12.5 per cent – target around 60 global trading partners, including the UK, the European Union, Canada, Japan, and India over alleged forced labour violations.
