“It was uninspiring!” 😴

Watch as Jacob Rees-Mogg appears thoroughly unmoved by soon-to-be Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s latest speech.

Andy Burnham has set out his radical plan to “rewire Britain” in a speech pitching for 10 years as Prime Minister.

Speaking from Manchester, Mr Burnham outlined plans for “biggest transfer of power out of Whitehall in modern times” in a wider regional power-sharing arrangement in a major shake-up.

GB News Political Editor Christopher Hope is joined by Chief Political Correspondent Katherine Forster to discuss Andy Burnham’s vision for government ahead of his expected move into Number 10.

They examine his plans for greater devolution, including the proposal for a “Number 10 for the North”, and debate whether shifting power away from Westminster could help boost growth and improve public services.

The pair also explore the political and economic challenges facing the incoming government, from defence spending and taxation to local government reform and public expectations.

Could Burnham’s approach reshape British politics, or will the realities of government prove more difficult than the promises?
