🥊 Teofimo Lopez vs Josh Taylor | WBO Light-Welterweight Title | FULL FIGHT HIGHLIGHTS
The build-up to the Teofimo Lopez (18-1) vs. Josh Taylor (19–0) WBO junior welterweight title showdown was defined by intense personal animosity, mental health scrutiny, and fierce stylistic debates.
The pre-fight promotion took a dark and highly controversial turn due to the hostile rhetoric between both fighters.
In the lead-up, Teofimo Lopez made highly criticized, irresponsible comments stating that he wanted to literally “take Josh Taylor’s life” inside the ring.
The reigning champion, Josh Taylor, completely dismissed Lopez’s mental state, frequently labeling the American a “clown” and promising to make him pay for his words with “spite in his punches”.
Lopez entered the build-up as a significant underdog. After losing his lightweight titles to George Kambosos Jr. and delivering a few shaky performances at 140 lbs, many analysts openly questioned if he still possessed his “Takeover” spirit or the mental fortitude to defeat an elite champion.
Taylor was returning from a grueling 15-month layoff following his highly controversial split-decision victory over Jack Catterall. The build-up heavily focused on whether “The Tartan Tornado” had deteriorated or if the long break had cured his previous injuries.
The bout took place on 10th June 2023 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

🥊 David Haye vs Jean-Marc Mormeck | WBA/WBC/RING Cruiserweight Titles | FULL FIGHT HIGHLIGHTS
Jean-Marc Mormeck 33–3 (22 KO) vs. David Haye 19–1 (18 KO), billed as Le Duel, was a professional boxing match contested on 10 November 2007, for the WBA, WBC and The Ring cruiserweight championship.
After regaining the WBA, WBC, The Ring and lineal cruiserweight titles in his March 2007 rematch with O’Neil Bell, Jean-Marc Mormeck agreed to face European cruiserweight champion David Haye, overruling his promoter Don King who had wanted him to face Steve Cunningham (whom he also promoted). “King wanted me to meet him,” Mormeck said about Cunningham “He doesn’t give a toss whether I win or lose. He’d win which ever way it went. King has got money and he always wants more. He’s used to having people at his feet begging him, but I don’t do any of that.”
Haye was returning to cruiserweight having made his heavyweight debut in April against Tomasz Bonin, after his stoppage victory Haye called out Mormeck saying “I would be mad not to take that fight and knock him out. I want that title.”
The bout was originally set for 28 September, but it was pushed back to 10 November to avoid a clash with the Rugby World Cup.
WBO cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli, was part of the Setanta broadcast team for the fight, as there was plans to match him against the winner, with his promoter Frank Warren saying “If Mormeck wins, it’s definitely a fight that can be made. But if Haye wins, it’s a bit more problematic because he’s turned down big money to fight Enzo once before. I hope Haye wins because there would be no excuse for him not to fight Enzo in February or March. That would be a huge match-up for British fans.”

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Zab Judah, billed as Sworn Enemies, was a boxing match for the IBF welterweight title which took place on April 8, 2006 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Paradise, Nevada between IBF welterweight champion Zab Judah and undefeated three-division champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.
With the loss to Carlos Manuel Baldomir, it appeared that Judah’s much anticipated bout with Mayweather was off, but Judah’s promoter Don King and Mayweather’s promoter Bob Arum reworked the deals so the fight would go on. Mayweather was scheduled to earn a minimum $6 million while Judah was to earn $3 million plus a percentage of the profits, but because of Judah’s loss, Mayweather earned a minimum $5 million while Judah was guaranteed $1 million plus a percentage of profits above $7 million.

🥊 Saul ‘CANELO’ Alvarez vs Matthew ‘MAGIC’ Hatton | WBC Title | FULL FIGHT HIGHLIGHTS | 5/3/2011
Canelo Álvarez 35–0–1 (26 KO) vs. Matthew Hatton 41–4–2 (16 KO), billed as Here’s Your Shot, was a professional boxing match contested on March 5, 2011, for the WBC super welterweight championship.
Having held the WBC Silver since his July 2010 victory over Luciano Leonel Cuello, Canelo Álvarez was the mandatory challenger for the WBC light middleweight belt which was won by Manny Pacquiao in November 2010.
In January 2011 Álvarez signed to face European welterweight champion Matthew Hatton at a 150 Ib catchweight.
In February 2011 the WBC Board of Governors voted to declare their super welterweight title vacant, following Pacquiao informing them that he had no intention of defending the belt.[8] As a result, the Álvarez/Hatton bout was sanctioned for the now vacant title despite still being fought 4 pounds below the Light middleweight limit and with Hatton being unranked at the weight. It was the first time for either fighter to challenge for a major belt in any division. Álvarez was a 15–1 on favourite to win.
Canelo Álvarez, who came in at 151.8 pounds, forfeited $70,000 of his $350,000 purse. The Hatton camp asked Alvarez to try to lose the weight, which he agreed to do after a “spirited discussion”. When he came back to the scale about an hour later, he failed to make the limit of 150, weighing in at 151.4 on the scale.
