There has been a significant development in one of Albuquerque’s most well-known unsolved cases. Kaitlyn Arquette, the 18-year-old daughter of author Lois Duncan, was tragically harmed while driving home on Lomas, east of Downtown, in July 1989. Duncan, who wrote the suspense novel I Know What You Did Last Summer, tirelessly sought answers until she passed away in 2016 at age 82. She authored the book Who Killed My Daughter?, which detailed her search for clues in the case. Over the years, many theories emerged. Two men were arrested, but the case was eventually dismissed. Some suspected involvement from a group linked to car insurance scams.
