Shadow Chancellor Andrew Griffiths has pleaded for those who are thinking of leaving Britain to “stay and help us win.”

The Tories pledged to scrap net zero rules for new housing, abolish the Environment Agency and Natural England, and expand Heathrow Airport.

Speaking at the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham, the Shadow Chancellor said: “Those who’ve written this country off always been proven wrong. So, if you are thinking of leaving, whether you are young or old, don’t.”

Wes Streeting defends new Government plans over fears for free speech

Wes Streeting has denied that a new unit set up to fight disinformation will be a threat to free speech in the UK.

It comes after Andy Burnham announced plans for a new National Centre for Information Defence.

The Prime Minister’s comments led to warnings that it would be used to control freedom of speech.

But the Defence Secretary told GB News that it won’t be used to “police domestic political dissent”.

Donald Trump reveals ‘some threats’ led to him pulling US bombers from RAF Fairford

Donald Trump has said that the decision to withdraw all US bomber jets from RAF Fairford was prompted by “some threats.”

Speaking in the last hour the U.S. President said he knows the people who made the threat

The Pentagon all B-1 bombers, which American forces used to strike Iran, now returned to the U.S.

Downing Street, meanwhile, insists the airbase in Gloucestershire is safe after the suspected terror plot.

The airbase in Gloucestershire was the target of a suspected terror attack last month.

Six people been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences and been released on bail.

One official has said new threat details had emerged in the last 24 hours prompting the withdrawal.

Five British nationals, all in their mid-20s, were arrested on suspicion of explosives offences and terrorism. And a UK-Iranian national was detained on suspicion of preparation of terrorists acts. They all since been bailed.
