The BBC has been given exclusive access to the UK’s expanding hacker rehab programme which is run by police to steer teenagers away from cyber-crime.

For Tech Now, the BBC’s Cyber Correspondent Joe Tidy has spoken to young hackers who are on the programme about how they strayed into minor illegal hacking before being caught and put on the course.

Tens of thousands of people have crossed from Morocco into the Spanish territory of Ceuta in North Africa – many of them swimming or wading around the border fence. Spanish authorities say dozens of people died trying make the journey – either by drowning or being crushed.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has described the situation as an “attack”, blaming human traffickers for deceiving young people. The prime minister vowed to return all illegal migrants to Morocco as soon as possible. Many thousands have already left voluntarily.

Several European leaders have expressed concern, with some promising to tighten border controls. Italy’s right-wing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni described the images from Ceuta as “shocking”, and said that “uncontrolled immigration” was a security threat to Europe.

We ask the BBC’s southern Europe correspondent Sarah Rainsford what caused the sudden rush of migrants, and what will happen to them now.

New vape shops will require planning permission and councils will get more powers to block new betting shops, under government plans aimed at improving high streets.

Prime Minister Andy Burnham said town centres had been “hollowed out” by decades of decline and “for many people, the high streets they grew up with have become unrecognisable”.

BBC News has exposed organised crime on high streets across the country, revealing shops selling illegal cigarettes and vapes, selling cannabis and cocaine, enabling illegal working and suspected money-laundering.

Every time you click “buy” on an online order, the chances are that your purchase starts getting processed within minutes.

Increasingly, the journey starts with a squat silver floor robot gliding beneath a storage rack, lifting a shelf and carrying it across a warehouse to a waiting worker.

At Geek+’s factory in the eastern Chinese city of Hefei, fleets of the robots are built and tested before being shipped to warehouses around the world.

Some of Britain’s biggest retailers – including Tesco, Asda and Next – now use the company’s technology.

Donald Trump secretly switched planes when he was returning from a Nato meeting last month in order to avoid a threat to his life from Iran, US media has reported.

The president boarded Air Force One in Ankara, Turkey, on 8 July before being transported to another aircraft with the help of a catering truck, the Washington Post said.

He was then seen disembarking Air Force One in the UK, before boarding his newer, Qatari-gifted jet and returning to the US.
Trump spoke to journalists during his flight to the US but did not say whether he had been moved to a different plane.
