Debanking: ‘Opportunity for a NEW bank in Britain’ that’ll ‘bank ANYONE’ as long as it’s legal
‘There’s an opportunity for a new bank in the country. Challenger banks who can come in and say they’ll bank anyone as long as they’re doing something legal!’
Conservative MP, Dame Harriett Baldwin, reacts to the Treasury Committee saying ‘debanking’ and use of personal guarantees for loans is putting small businesses at risk.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer outlines a bold vision for a ‘fairer Britain’, focusing on the security and dignity of the working class. Sir Keir Starmer addresses MPs in the House of Commons in an attempt to explain exactly what he knew about Lord Mandelson’s security vetting.
However, No10 admitted Sir Keir inadvertently misled MPs just hours before the Prime Minister entered the House of Commons.
“He could not be clearer that the House should have had this information,” the Prime Minister’s official spokesman said.
“It was wrong that this information was not provided to the House, and he will provide that update later today.”
A leaked briefing to Labour MPs appears to suggest the Prime Minister’s loyalists will pile pressure on the Foreign Office and quote a victim of the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
