Andy Burnham speaks out on his desire for closer ties with EU

Published

Andy Burnham has spoken out about his desire for the UK to have closer ties with the European Union on freedom of movement.

The Prime Minister said: “Things have changed since Brexit. We’ve lost control over immigration. The economy and immigration control is weaker in the 10 years since Brexit. I want to use the EU-UK summit for a practical deal for farmers, food manufacturers, but also on collaboration on immigration. I will never move ahead of the British public when it comes to Brexit.”

We now live in GASLIT BRITAIN

Published

Littlewood says “we now live in gaslit ” after it emerged the Home Office published a guide for illegal migrants on how “not to rape women”.

It is just one of the resources available in a collection titled: “Understanding behaviours and expectations in the UK: a guide for asylum seekers”.

Posters and information on rape, the age of consent and child abuse are among the guides to help asylum seekers “understand what is expected when living in the UK”.

The guidance highlights child rape is illegal “even if they look older” or if “it is allowed in another country”.

Speaking to Patrick Christys on GB News, political commentator Littlewood said: “This pamphlet is extraordinary. And the reason I find it so extraordinary and disturbing is if you need that pamphlet, I don’t want you anywhere near my country.”

A Home Office spokesperson told GB News: “We expect everyone who comes to the UK to abide by our laws.

“If they do not, they will face consequences, including the refusal of their asylum claim and removal from the UK.

“Returns of failed asylum seekers have reached their highest level since 2010 under this Government.”
