All is my headcanon. It is just Alastor’s nightmare, Rosie wasn’t upset at him at all (as you could see them hugging and talking about the nightmare in the end.). Alastor might smile on the surface, but I have hc that he is really care about his friends because he don’t usually have stable relationship with others. Mimzy and Vox are mad at him, which he knew himself. So, he kind of anxious that Rosie might be upset with his seven-years-absence with no words telling her. He isn’t a person who would really ask a question about people’s mind, so he was just overthinking it again and again (and turned out as a nightmare).
Tip!: He also came to sleepover with Rosie because that reason. He wanted to feel that their relationship is not worsen from before. Him being self-doubting and secretly valuable without telling anyone is cute in my opinion. (And it has never leave my mind.)
