Nigel Farage has challenged Andy Burnham over the Chagos Islands after it was brought up during the Prime Minister’s first meeting with President Donald Trump.

The two leaders met at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

As the President spoke to reporters about the Chagos deal, the PM looked “deeply uncomfortable,” according to Farage.

Labour MP Steve Reed breaks ranks as he faces a grilling from Camilla Tominey over Andy Burnham, Labour’s housing targets and the growing speculation about tensions within the party. Reed is challenged over Labour’s pledge to build 1.5 million homes by 2029, with Tominey asking whether the government can realistically deliver on its ambitious target. “The bottom line is Labour will not reach that housing target, you know that deep down,” she says, as the pair revisit the political row from this time last year.
