Israel says South Africa distorting the truth in UN court Gaza genocide case – BBC News

Published

on

Israel has said South Africa has distorted the truth in its case to the International Court of Justice, where it is accusing Israel of genocide.

South Africa had presented “a sweeping counter-factual description” of the Israel-Palestinian conflict, Israeli lawyer Tal Becker told the ICJ.

South Africa says Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians in its war in Gaza.

It is also asking the court to order Israel to halt its military activity.

The ICJ is the United Nations’ highest court. Its rulings are theoretically legally binding on parties to the ICJ – which include Israel and South Africa – but are not enforceable.

Israel is giving its defence to the court a day after South Africa presented its case yesterday.

Did you realize that Israel has encompassed and embodied at least 8 of the "10 Stages of Genocide" as researched and modeled by Gregory Stanton, the founding president of Genocide Watch? Keep those cameras rolling people! Even though they won't allow the press inside Gaza, nor the internet and electricity to those already inside.

Mis -understanding of Apartheid in Gaza, Palestine were not citizen of Israel , thus, the concept of Apartheid in South Africa) a policy or system of segregation or discrimination on grounds of race , economic, social and political was wrong notion on Gaza Issue. Palestine was at war with Israel since the Days of Goliath and David. Gaza was part of contested land with Israel and Palestine. In , Africa Apartheid was a legitimate issue because it was racial discrimination of white people and black people. In Gaza, Palestine people were considered as squatters by Israel Nation. There is no such things as Palestine land, Hamas were not a ragtag Guerilla force but an regular armies of the Palestine.

Why are Israel still members of the UN? The UN have aligned themselves with Terrorists, what happened to “we do not negotiate with terrorists”? Why is my country still a member of the UN? The only country that is told that they must negotiate with Terrorists is Israel, the victim of murder, rape, kidnapping, would you want to talk to baby murderers?

The BBC showing brief "curated" parts of the oral arguments.
The BBC should show ALL of both presentations and allow the viewer to make up their own mind.
Again, as if I needed it, I have it confirmed that dropping the BBC as a news source was the right move.

Leading headline title! South Africa is using evidence collected from statements and videos created by Israeli soldiers and officials themselves, as well as actual reporting from humanitarian organizations! All Israel has to say in response is "South Africa is Hamas".

PC Andrew Harper’s killers to stay in jail | BBC News Exclusive

Published

on

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has told the BBC that PC Andrew Harper’s killers will remain behind bars as he announces changes to the early release scheme aimed at easing prison overcrowding.

In an exclusive interview with BBC Breakfast, Burnham said anyone convicted of manslaughter will be excluded from changes brought in under the Sentencing Act, which would have made the killers eligible for early release.

Burnham said extra prison spaces would be created by deporting “hundreds” of foreign prisoners and releasing some inmates serving indefinite sentences.

At least 27 dead and hundreds evacuated after strike on Kyiv warehouse | BBC News

Published

on

Twenty-seven people have been killed and almost 400 evacuated after a Russian strike hit a warehouse near Kyiv, triggering a fire and a series of explosions.

Regional governor Tymur Tkachenko said a further 42 people, including four children, were injured after the Russian drone strike in the Bucha district.

An investigation has been launched into whether ammunition was being stored at the site, where search and rescue operations were ongoing early on Saturday.

Russia’s Ministry of Defence said in a statement that its forces had targeted “an ammunition depot” in the Kyiv region village of Myla, which stores “components and launch boosters for FP-1/FP-2 long-range unmanned aerial vehicles”.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the strike, saying that more than 300 emergency respondents had been deployed to the strike area.
