Israel-Gaza war: Hamas reports 241 killed in Gaza inside 24 hours | BBC News

Published

on

Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry has said at least 241 people were killed in the past 24 hours, as Israel’s military operation continues in the territory.

Hamas said 382 people had also been injured over the same 24 hours.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has called the war a “grave crime” against his people.

Israel’s army chief Herzi Halevi said the conflict with Hamas would continue for “many more months”.

Israel says it hit more than 100 sites on Tuesday, amid reports of impending ground operations in central Gaza.

What?!!! 241 Hamas voters killed? Subjected women told to vote in elections that NEVER happen? Their husbands who walk around rubble in wife cleaned clothes are suffering? Please can't they talk Hamas out of their basements because they're sorry they voted for Hamas tunnel projects? When do the women and children get to hide in the billion dollar tunnel complex Hamas put in schools/hospitals? Hamas only wants jews going to the gas chambers again. I'm confused.

Before October 7, there were violations, arrests, and killings of Palestinians, so Hamas, a Palestinian resistance movement, came to respond to these insults.

But the Western media describes what happened as an attack and not a reaction to what the Netanyahu government has done since it took office.

Netanyahu delayed the two-state solution because he wanted settlement out of the desire for land and for the Palestinian people to be subject to him at all times

Zionism is the greatest threat to humanity in the world. Ancient Israel never existed so the existence of modern Israel is based on fantasy. Hitler was a Zionist and blue blood Jewish. Both of Hitler’s parents were Jewish and belong to the Jewish Bauer (aka Roth*child) family. Hitler oldest brother was name Edmond James after his mother’s father. Both world wars were wars of pretext to get Palestine based on the mythical territory and events of mythical books.. Torah/Bible.

Some of the hostages are at present in Egypt. Hamas moved some of the remaining hostages to Egypt through tunnels located in Rafah Border Crossing. Some of the hostages, who were released in the first prisoner swap (November 24- December 1st), had been forced to swallow different kind of drugs before being freed. Those drugs had been developed in Russia, Iran and North Korea during the Cold War (1947–1991) in order to punish spies and POWs. The most benign of these drugs make hostages docile. The most evil of them alters severely the brain functions. A good example of this could be seen in the case of Otto Warmbier. Otto was falsely accused of a crime in North Korea. During his imprisonment, he was given drugs (by mouth and intravenously) which altered severely his brain functions. He was released in a terrible condition, and died a few days after his arrival to the United States. In case of a second prisoner swap, Hamas has the order to give the most evil drugs to some of the remaining hostages.

The state of Israel is using the same strategy of reducing the Other to the status of evil or vermin to which people of Jewish origin were once subjected themselves by the Nazis. There should have been a negotiation for land rather than grabbing land, killing people, and subjecting them to daily humiliation. This situation fired back, and now they are further punished and have been given collective punishment. Genocide is evil. Regrettably, it seems like people who bore once evil often are bound to perpetuate it.

What did President Putin and President Trump discuss in their call? | BBC Newscast

Published

on

We look at big changes to the benefits system which the UK government say aim to save ÂŁ5bn a year by 2030.

They were announced in the House of Commons by Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall who said the changes would create a more “pro-work system”. However, charities and some Labour MPs are worried benefit cuts will push disabled people into poverty. Alex and James talk through the changes with Chris, and then are joined by the pensions minister Torsten Bell.

And, President Putin has agreed to halt strikes on Ukraine energy targets for 30 days after a call with President Trump. The two men spoke for around 90 minutes, and fresh Ukraine peace talks will also begin in the Middle East immediately, the White House says. Alex and James are joined by Chief International Correspondent Lyse Doucet.

Ukraine’s President Zelensky asks EU leaders for fighter jets – BBC News

Published

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on EU leaders to provide fighter jets and arms for the war against Russia, on his second trip abroad since the war began.

“We have to enhance the dynamics of our co-operation, we have to do it faster than the aggressor,” President Zelensky said.

He was earlier given a standing ovation at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Several EU leaders have already stressed that a decision on warplanes would be a collective move.

White House hits back at Amazon’s ‘plan’ to show tariff price rises | BBC News

Published

on

The White House has hit back against a reported plan by Amazon to detail the price impact of President Donald Trump’s trade tariffs to its customers, calling it a “hostile” political act.

Amazon told the Washington Post it had looked into itemising the costs for customers using Amazon Haul, a low-cost site it launched in the US last year to compete with Shein and Temu.

But it denied such a move had been under consideration for its primary e-commerce platform.

At a press conference marking the president’s 100 days in office, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said she had discussed Amazon’s reported move with the president and claimed it represented “another reason why Americans should buy American”.

Trump has ramped up tariffs since re-entering office in January, measures he argues will boost manufacturing and raise tax revenue for the US.

There have been no immediate reports of casualties or wider damage, but Istanbul officials said they were checking buildings and warned people to stay clear of potentially-damaged sites.

The largest earthquake on Wednesday struck at 12:49 local time (09:49 GMT) at a depth of 6.92 km (4.3 miles), Turkey’s emergency services said.
