US launches fourth round of strikes on Houthis in Yemen | BBC News

Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.
It comes after another night of strikes between the US and Iran, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps saying it hit two UAE tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted US facilities in Jordan and Bahrain.
The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.
Meanwhile, the US military says it completed strikes on targets aimed at degrading “Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping” – Iranian state media reports three people were killed.

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.
Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.
President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

President Donald Trump has reversed his threat of a 20% fee on all Strait of Hormuz cargo shipping, as the US battles to break Iran’s hold on the waterway.
He said the toll would be replaced by trade and investment deals with Gulf states, just hours before the US resumes a blockade of Iranian ports.
It follows renewed strikes between the US and Iran, which triggered a sharp rise in oil prices as tanker traffic through the Strait has virtually stalled.

Like….they were literally given quite a lot of chances to stop attacking those ships, they were literally told: “Stop attacking the ships or we will open fire” and they responded by firing the the military instead – how is that not a de*th sentence?! You try and go head to head with one of the most capable militaries in the world after Russia, and expect to come out of it unscathed? You’re mad!
Well of course they’re going to do retaliatory strikes, they’re classed as terrorists – Jesus Christ, never thought I’d see the day that we’d be terrorist-sympathising. 🙄 They literally chose to continue firing and was told the response they were going to get from it – it’s just pure dumb to then fire at the military, honestly, if these are the kinds of people that are fighting on your part, I’d be worried.

I am a Yemeni citizen. We Yemenis do not affect the global trade movement except for Israel, which kills children and deprives them of water and food in the Gaza Strip. Yemen, gentlemen, was subjected to a war that lasted nine years and was not affected because there are men who have war on a holiday. If the world wants to stop the attacks on Yemen, they must oblige Israel and America stop killing civilians in Gaza and end the conversation
