Published

on

Final Score’s Chris Sutton and Stephen Warnock praise Tottenham Hotspur after their 1-0 victory over Luton Town, as Micky van de Ven scores the only goal. Ange Postecoglou now holds the best unbeaten start of any Spurs manager in the club’s history. Can they challenge for the Premier League title?

Can Spurs challenge? Yes. They can challenge for 8th, no doubt.

It's an English tradition to be nice to that Tottenham Hotspur football club. Always thereabouts, an encouraging media never fails building little hopeful fires around them ,

😢😢😢 No they can't challenge, Top 4 is possible right now, the statistics looks good. So did Arsenals,& LFC plus others City's still the best on paper, dosn't mean will get it or Arsenal. The one to watch out for is LFC '😮Because these Saturday 1 day game prediction are evaluated over 1 weekend.
So who cares if Tiny tots doing well. I am waiting for the loss, then see how costa ratid handles it.

Tottenham always plays for nothing!! 😂😂😂😂😂. Next season, it'll be zeroball😂😂😂😂😂😂 YNWA 97♡

Spurs are playing well atm, but let's not start using words like 'great' yet! We will hit the wall at some point this season because of squad depth and quality, but until then let's get as many points as possible. Hopefully, we will end up in a CL spot, and an FA Cup run will be nice too! COYS.

this brand of football , 1 game a week, no lloris, sanchez, dier, in defence a few players back i:e bentancour, luck with injuries why not think BIG !! COYS!!

  11. @alastairbell7084

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Sutton loves Spurs success because of Ange and Ange’s connection with Celtic! That’s it!!! Everyone else are clutching! Behave yourselves!

Pipe down you only beat luton even with 10 men or should i say 11 cos spurs have had the ref on their side every game. Pundits in general are delusional if they think spurs will challenge if they do its cos of no european football so they cant fail not too if they somehow do. VAR is spurs best player since it came into play

  14. @lostecho01

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

  15. @keatingaaron

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Spurs cannot challenge until Richarlison is replaced with a striker (who can actually score goals). It's only a matter of time before they come unstuck. What they were thinking buying the Brazilian, I will never know. PS – Sonny is great but he would do even better with an effective striker to partner him up front.

  16. @natelung

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

I don't blame Kane for anything. And especially not for not trusting Levy who wanted him to sign another new contract. But man oh man, I kinda wonder what this would be like if he had fully bought into Ange's ideas and we had him instead of Richarlison on the end of all those chances this season… Son is a great goalscoring striker… but he can't do hold up play like Kane.

  17. @bellabana

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

While Kane scored lots of goals it didn’t help Spurs overall as it was all about ‘him’ rather than the team.
A big fish in a small bowl.
Yet Son is proving he’s actually more effective with a manager like Ange who understands his value as a player and captain.

  18. @martinhowarth81

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

    A few injuries .. and suspensions ! .. top 6 ..

  19. @isamary4252

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Why don't spurs fans believe they can do? i strongly believe spurs can do.

  20. @iu2

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

It's absolutely insulting to Son Heungmin to hear all of these English pundits doubting his capabilities. Every single one of them kept asking where were all the goals going to come from and how will the Spurs do. It's a well-known fact that the Spurs winning percentage with Son without Kane is higher than Kane with/without Son. And that continues with this season. Kane hasn't won anything, and he probably won't at Bayern.

  21. @Greggorious123

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Well after what Leicester did, there’s always a chance of anything happening, but I still think Man City are too strong for any team to cope with.

  22. @greymouser8659

Pushing Carragher and Sutton out to sea on a barge would be a community service

  23. @milocunningham9473

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

As an arsenal fan I can’t think of anything worse. I’m not a religious man but I will be praying if they’re are top in may.

  24. @msfklfl123

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

We don't have the squad depth to win the season, we just need to build on this foundation to play better football worth watching that will gradually take us there.

  25. @buzzliteyear11

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Chris knows first hand of Ange's handy work at his club, of course he's a fan.

  26. @sallybally344

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Is Arsenal can bottle an easy title, Tottenham have opertunity to show them what a title challenge looks like

  27. @Stand663

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Spurs will win the premier league. Big Ange wins everywhere he goes. He’s the next Guardiola.

  28. @fang.clarkec7584

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Of coarse they will, when you have VAR two weeks in a row disappear in critical moments to give one team more points.

  29. @ross4970

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Ange sacked by Christmas and Tottenham fighting relegation? Thats why you should never trust clairvoyants.

  30. @niksterfer6sir

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

I support spurs. We are enjoying the football but we aren’t crazy…we’ll have a serious convo in February or march. We are just enjoying some wins and excitement at the moment.

But I think at this point in time we would all be really upset if we miss out on champions league.

  31. @earphonemania5657

Deviam ter vergonha bbc e a Premier League estão a matar o futebol e todos os que gostam do jogo, comentários horríveis, claramente favoráveis a uma equipa, pró Tottenham, deviam ter vergonha e respeito pelo Luton Town FC.

  38. @subjectivepersp1937

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

The goal should be 80 points

  39. @Jimak1954

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Spurs have played 8 games and got 20 points, another 30 games to get to the magical 40 and we stay up. 😂😂😂

  40. @HermannNI

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Let's be realistic. Tottenham aren't winning anything this year apart from the trophies that they collect everytime they draw with a top 6 side.

  41. @ef3371

The way the pundits sit reminds me of the Woodentops accompanied by their Little Weed.

  42. @paulc7956

Absolutely flying indeed. I think we will stay up 👍

  43. @user-ix9dx8ie4x

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

I wouldn't say flying they barely beat Liverpool even with 9 men and a goal disallowed, and no I'm not a Liverpool supporter before you itchy keyboard finger posses start and turn into keyboard warriors

  44. @thegamblingzone-ql1vj

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

top 4 all day, title mmmm may get found out at the buisness end of the season

  45. @brianandrea3249

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Chris Sutton has been an Ange fanboy for a couple of seasons now. Looking well chuffed at Anges and Spurs success . Well within his rights to enjoy, sit back and say “I told you so…” to those many pundits who denigrated Anges appointment.

  46. @honeybadger9425

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

Spurs look like winners now when they are up against it or need something they are finding it

  47. @nayahun2

    January 22, 2024 at 9:49 am

If best 11 are healthy, injured players come back stronger, good a number of signings in winter filling the gap, and little bit of luck then why not?
