yes but all these people arriving by boat will need paying so dont talk about recovery it wont recover all these ppl need housing treatment dental care the whole lot but who plays for all this ? the taxpayer while the taxpayer gets shoved to the side … and it will only grow as the family size grows and they get use to not working and get given everything.

Never mind the country will soon be back on it's feet,I've been told from a solid source that Johnsons expecting thousands of scientists, engineers, doctors, surgeons and investors along with 4 million uber drivers & 9 million takeaway staff they're just having a little trouble with their visas at the Polish border.🤢🤢🤬

Growth is so easy. Cut taxes and cut regulations. Act Conservative.

However, Boris is a globalist and has signed upto the WEF plan to bankrupt the common people. Hence, the push to crush the economy using the pandemic

Tax and spend has always been a flawed stragedy. Inflation first, unemployment to follow. Even Jim Callaghan Labour PM knew that one. He said as much in 1976. Sunak is lying too you the economy is dead in the water. Disposable income is shrinking at an alarming pace and with it growth will disappear. This government are already engaged in the biggest tax grab in decades to compound issues.

Inflation, higher taxes, restrictions on our freedoms, these people are our enemy.

The Government are deliberately destroying the economy. Just the same as their Marxist Colleague's in the US.

I get the distinct impression that small businesses are not intended to survive, nobody gets 50k a year to pretend to be a non-executive director for a small business, nobody running a small business can afford lobbyists to bribe politicians to change laws to suit them and offer lucrative contracts to their mates; and no politicians get high-paying do-nothing jobs at small family businesses to influence their mates still in parliament when they step down.

It's completely transparent, everything will be run by a handful of massive conglomerates before too long, and every working person will be in thrall to them.

How have we allowed it to get this far.

    Help me, help

  13. @chriscoffee9070

    January 22, 2024 at 7:00 pm

Surely not, we're welcoming thousands of people to stay as guests at our expense every day or two, we wouldn't be doing that if we couldn't afford it, would we ?

    Green energy utopia everyone

Many of us who run small businesses are still recovering and are tightening our belts. No furlough or tax breaks for us. Just higher taxes and financially bruised customers. The government have tried very hard over the past two years to make life as difficult as possible for small businesses and they need to learn that increased taxes will not lead to growth.

  16. @greyvoice7949

    January 22, 2024 at 7:00 pm

Nothing to do with high energy costs and morons at work in government. The economy is massively at risk so long as they pursue this man made climate change nonsense… (I really do not think the nuts understand or care about the repercussions).

Went to tack shop for new riding gear as a horse rider and they've said that because everything is from China or India it's slow to bring in supplies on a ship. This is near Huddersfield and we should be bringing back textiles to places like Huddersfield to Manchester to Middlesbrough and have a Zero Carbon Textiles Industry. We can make it happen

    January 22, 2024 at 7:00 pm

The government is ACTIVELY destroying small buisness !
The vax mandates are destroying jobs !
The rise of socialism will dictate even more social restrictions and all this is coming FROM THE VERY TOP .

  20. @evolassunglasses4673

    January 22, 2024 at 7:00 pm

No one should believe the inflation figures.

  21. @jfk9996

    January 22, 2024 at 7:00 pm

GDP itself is a flawed metric to measure economic activity. Even by their own manipulated standards, we're completely screwed.
