It’s an absolute disgrace no need for our energy bills to be so high as to why they can do this corrupt act on the public it’s all about control renewable energy is not cost effective fact and the national grid can’t cope with the high powered car charging points with the whole maybe 10% of vehicles being electric can you imagine in 5-10 years time people wake the hell up

The only people that would want to do this are the poor, and these are the people we should be protecting. So your enticing old age people to sit in a cold house so they can earn a cashback. Ridiculous and it could cost lives. Shameful and again shows how they live a life of privilege in a bubble.

This is only suitable for those who have smart meters! I've looked up my supplier, and they are a member but I can't apply for it as I don't have (nor want) a smart meter! Another scam way for households to get one?🤔

This is an indication that the whole renewable connection to the grid is wrong and not working. It can't as any power engineer will tell you. It will only get worse unless there is a complete reversal and elimination of renewable generation.

    January 22, 2024 at 9:02 pm

This is a disgrace, palying with peoples lives, the only way you get paid is if you turn the mains off because one light on a socket for instance and you lose out, and you are told you get paid to sit freezing and in the dark while the stupid and Rich get to play with their toys.

  21. @GuerrillaWallFlair

    January 22, 2024 at 9:02 pm

Yeah. Get on that discount from your power bill and allow them to turn it up or down whenever they want. Stpdfx

From 5 – 6 working parents will get back from work and start the children's dinners…so to save pennies we have to wait with no power until 7…….risk to reward doesn't work for me.

The scumbags scroungers don't have to worries about these things…they need to do the black outs during the day when we are in work and the kids are at school. If the scroungers moan then it might give them a kick up the arss to get to work.

  25. @crawfordgriffiths3267

Why did they not take that money and cut the bills

  26. @bobhope1462

    January 22, 2024 at 9:02 pm

it's another way to fool customers to having a smart meter.

  27. @richardbentley6781

    January 22, 2024 at 9:02 pm

And you must have a smart meter to qualify. Total scam.

  28. @matthewharris9281

    January 22, 2024 at 9:02 pm

The smart metre has been pushed so that they can ration our energy. I was correct not to be fooled and resisted the smart metre. anything that says smart is not smart

  29. @nezzam100

    January 22, 2024 at 9:02 pm

The National grid and electricity companies should NOT be paying this. The money should be taken from all MP's that support Net zero and other eco-loonery. THEY caused this through their incompetence and treason THEY should pay.

  30. @volgantifriebus9549

    January 22, 2024 at 9:02 pm

They'll make you take the money to use less or more likely they'll make you shut it off
