Just to make this VERY clear to the idiots who can't tell a tank from an APC, these APCs are medical vehicles which full under article 19 of the Geneva Conventions, "mobile medical units of the Medical Service may in no circumstances be attacked, but shall at all times be respected and protected by the Parties to the conflict". Although article 22 allows them to carry defensive weaponry, they are typically unarmed. Under Article 39, the emblem of the medical service "shall be displayed … on all equipment employed in the Medical Service." As such, armoured ambulances are marked with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) recognized symbols. –https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armoured_personnel_carrier.

Doesn’t supply tanks with guns on them? So what’s that gun shaped thing on that tank reversing out of the trailer with their company’s brand printed on the side? A knockwurst sausage?

Disappointing to hear Wise is involved here. I'd hoped it was a good company. Barclays is not a surprise. A friend of mine had his overdraft facility removed by Barclays because he HASN'T used it. He had it as a back-up. Odd. He has loans and all sorts with them, so they make money from him.

My great-grandfather, Lt-Colonel William Bolitho, DSO,
    =========================================
was a national director of Barclays,
into which Bolitho's Bank was absorbed in 1905,
with the last Bolitho on a Barclays board
being Major Simon Bolitho, MC, in the late 1980s.

    Such men were patriots,
    who fought for their country,
whereas those that run Brclays today
    owe allegiance elsewhere –
    like almost everyone
in the command and control structure today.

    /

When the properly elected Liz Truss,
    and her awful Chancellor,
messed up in their inept brilliance,
    this control structure
    by-passed democracy altogether,
and inserted WEF puppet, Rishi Sunak,
who may hold a British passport,
but that is as far as it goes.

    It takes generations
    to be properly British,
but the woke zealots of the Left
are determined to destroy Britain –
and banks are more frightened of the Left
than they are of the British People.

    /

Britain is like a Ship of State
    with the wheel lashed,
heading directly for a coastline of jagged rocks
    beneath sheer cliffs.

    The intention
is to destroy Britain as a power,
    and have the Quislings
    assume ALL power.

    Totalitarianism
worse than Hitler, Stalin or Mao.

    /

the first entity that shows it is not prejudiced or woke in any shape or form and puts reliability and customer service at the forefront will be inundated with new customers – for now I have reduced what is held in the bank account (not mentioned yet by the media) by 75% as it seems none of them deserve any consideration……………..

  31. @slingertennischronicles

    January 20, 2024 at 8:49 am

Yes. Bank clients who stay in the black, are never overdrawn and who never borrow money are now seen to be 'bad' customers. To the modern high street bank, a good customer is an individual who is constantly having to borrow money to stay afloat. Barclays are now closing accounts that are in any way associated with an address outside the UK (for example, ex-pat banking). It must be costing them millions!

  43. @quemades

    January 20, 2024 at 8:49 am

This is funny. 1. UK MoD have asked Zelensky’s boys not to use Challengers > on the front lines, real tanks though out of date, because with the world – but not UK viewers for whom it is cancelled by the wokerati – watching the best of US, German, French military tech burn up like roman candles on bonfire night it is not a good look for the marketing crews. Orders and sales will plummet as the Russians pummel them to scrap metal, artillery systems, anti-air defence systems, missiles, HIMARS, the whole lot is being mercilessly destroyed.
    2. This guy makes troop carriers “fighting vehicles” IOW infantry carriers. Not tanks. Well we have been watching the US fighting vehicles, the Bradleys get wiped out to the point there is a contested battle area in the south called ‘Bradley Graveyard’. The new FV, to replace the Bradleys which have all gone, one I forget the name of, is the new offering and Bradley Square, aka graveyard, looks like it might have to change its name again.
    3. These FV are out of date. Russia’s new drones which they are using in mass now swipe better FV’s like flies, Swat swatted. UK MOD will not want to see these in Ukraine, because they will be destroyed very quickly, taking the soldiers with them, in bits and pieces. Bad publicity. Even the Challengers have been updated with (dodgy) drone protection cages. Look at the new tanks and armoured vehicles pouring into Ukraine from Russian factories (no manufacturing base in US/ UK/Europe) equipped for modern warfare with EW systems and Heavy drone protection. These English ‘tanks’ are toys.
    4. Another possible reason for blocking sales in this totalitarian way is because as british tax payers are the ones actually footing the bill and the government is out of cash as is most of the EU, there is no more money for sending useless equipment.
    5. Yes. Weapons destined for Ukraine wind up as far away as Mexico. Go figure. Go have a look at Zelenksy’s and friends’ property portfolios and bank accounts. Maybe this guy is right. Maybe he is in on it. A lot of weapons destined for Ukraine do not even leave the US despite being paid for. And nobody appears to be overseeing where all these billions of dollars in aid are going. Funny that.
    6. UK is fckt

  44. @michaelblake3808

    January 20, 2024 at 8:49 am

Ukraine will never pay for anything countries have sent them they just want freebies. We are forfeiting our own defence and tax payers money on the altar of virtue signalling. Yet this private company charging the Ukraine effectively gets closed down by the banks who have now become moral dictators.

Britain has been branded the ‘Islamic Republic of Britain’ by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after Labour threatened to sanction Israeli settlements on the West Bank. Donald Trump has also threatened to withdraw the US’s neutrality on Britain’s dispute with Argentina over the Falklands Islands in a humiliation to Andy Burnham.

NEW: Andy Burnham takes swipe at Brexit and Thatcher as he sets out vision for Britain

Published

on

By

Andy Burnham takes aim at Brexit, Thatcherism and Britain’s economic record as he sets out his vision for the country in his first speech as Prime Minister. Burnham pays tribute to Keir Starmer and outlines his plans to deliver economic growth, promising “fiscal responsibility” while arguing that Britain has taken “a series of wrong turns” since the 1980s. He says Brexit “compounded the damage” and pledges to build a pro-business, innovation-led economy across the UK.

Burnham also addresses some of the major issues facing Britain, including the small boats crisis, prison early release and the privatisation of water companies and utilities. Drawing on his experience as Mayor of Manchester, the Prime Minister explains how his time in local government has shaped his approach to leading the country. He concludes by promising that Britain can “believe again” and “bring back hope” as he sets out his ambitions for the future.

Opposition Leader Kemi Badenoch wastes no time in challenging the new Prime Minister, mocking Burnham’s first day in office and warning that being Prime Minister is “a very different job” from being Mayor of Manchester. Badenoch grills him over defence spending, the small boats crisis, tax rises and his criticism of Thatcherism, accusing Burnham of wanting to take Britain “back to the 1970s”.
