Why doesn't the BBC explain that these protesters are financed by America. Another attempt at regime change. I live in Thailand and I never hear people advocate abolishing the Monarchy. This is a foreign promoted Republican movement with professional advocators.
It is reported as being connected to the Military Coup in Myanmar. Arms sales to Myanmar are banned, but Singapore built a relocatable arms factory with Israeli technical support and delivered it to Myanmar so the Military Dictatorship has no shortage of fire power. America wants anti China governments in South East Asia. It is like the Vietnam war all over again.Thousand are dying in civil revolt.
Myanmar is one of the worlds biggest Heroin and methamphetamines manufacturers. 25 tons worth 2 Billion dollars have been seized this year and bags and bags of money. Where there's big money to be made government control follows.
Democracy is not a reality, it is an excuse for regime change.

I am Thai. We Thai people want our freedom back and want government reform. Because we do not agree with the government taking the people's tax money for personal use. They wanted to reform Thai education because Thailand is the most studied country in the world. There are also rules that we don't understand why, such as long hair, some schools that prohibit long hair. In spite of that it is not about studying at all And many other matters So we went out to protest. But returned to being attacked The police have weapons but we don't. Police have water spraying cars Which is chemical water We can only wear rain gear and use an umbrella. We want our freedom back 😔🇹🇭

Ya’ll gotta listen, ok, as a person who lives in Thailand, the protesters have been making fun of all members of the royal family, you guys saying u hope they win is major disrespect. The monarchy system is present for thousands of years. Nothing went wrong for that long. Just because one king messed up doesn’t mean reformation. It is also common for new kings to behave like this. He never truly learned the hard way like Rama 9. And ya’ll saying we should have democracy as our system is messed up! Look at what happens when people don’t get what they want this year. Mass protests, fire, etc. this all happened in America, simply because people wanted Donald Trump, and not Biden. Thai people do not choose reformation. For you all saying “but you’re not there since your born”, suck this because I lived here since, well, I was born, so take your opinions against me, and eat it up. I know what’s been going on. Thousands of kids died fifty years ago because an irresponsible man who ran the country(prime minister) almost changed Thailand into dictatorship. And the idea of democracy and monarchy (wutever you call it) was just there to prevent people from reforming, but it instead, if used in the wrong way, could be destructive. Supports our them if you want, I don’t care, but it has been monarchy ever since, no reason to change. Come live in Thailand, here’s a tip: Don’t fall for the scams, taxis will charge you more if you are foreign, and anything over 500 baht is expensive, unless it’s worth it you can question in the comment. Though I don’t like him, he won’t last long, just deal with it for a few years

US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News

Published

on

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.

“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.

In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News

Published

on

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.

He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.

Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.

Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.

The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News

Published

on

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.

Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.

President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.
