EU vows to give Ukraine aid despite Hungary veto | BBC News

Published

on

EU leaders have said that Ukraine will not be left without support, after Hungary blocked €50bn (£43bn) in aid.

Ukraine is critically dependent on EU and US funding as it continues to fight occupying Russian forces.

A $61bn defence aid package from the US has also been delayed because of major disagreements between Democrat and Republican lawmakers.

Long delays in financial aid for the country would cause big problems for Ukraine’s budget, economists have warned – while Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Hungary for blocking the EU aid package.

if that happens the EU credibility will be further lost, but not only, it will mean that the EU citizens should try their best to go around the laws and avoid paying VAT or TAX like these leaders are trying to do and try to avoid the EU rules.
These leaders had been appointed to safeguard the EU laws not to try to find loopholes of how to go about these laws. It is their duty, to amend and law whit loopholes instead of using those loopholes for their personal gains because seeing all this effort one cannot but assume there is personal gain involved

How to turn Russia into a democracy in the next 10 years .Putin has about 10 years to live. Most changes happen through the next generation.Maybe the world should encourage more Russian migration to the west so they will be able translate how life can be to their fellows in russias

As long as majority of the Russians in Russia continue to love, adore, and worship Putin, then he will again win the election because, usually, it is the majority who decides the leadership of a country.

I love how a war started by the United States and has crippled Europe is still being financed by the EU.
Geemany has its infrastructure blown up by Americans (Nordsteam), is on the road to de-industrialization, is paying more for energy than ever before and who's economy is in a downward slide, but they still support this nonsense.

This same situation is happening añl.over Europe.
Who benefits from all this mess???

Well of course its the United States.
The people who have been fighting against Russian oi imports into Europe for almost a decade.
    And Why??
So they could import expensive LNG at four times the price of Russian natural gas.

Are these europan leaders so blind that they are literally hollowing out their own econmies to bendit only one nation??

Are European people so stupid that they cant see this??

Europe, you have an ennemy, bit its not Russia. Its the country that is completely controlling this situation.
Its the country that happily provided expensive gas to you after they did everything to stop cheap Russian gas.
Its the country that meddles in your democracies and taps the phones of your elected leaders.

Its the country tbat pushes huge amounts of propaganda.

Its not Russia tjat is destroying Europe, its the United States.

Vladimir Putin, president of the great, magnanimous and victorious Russian nation over would-be global dominators, will once again be a candidate for election. NATO, EU and UK breathe a sigh of relief, as they already know him and if another candidate were to be elected they could be destroyed. Only the media believe they can place an infiltrated Englishman or even one of their journalists as president in Russia.

EU is just using the Ukrainians as useful idiots and some kind of Antemurale Christianitatis to protect Europe from Russia. They just promise them all these stuff like joining the EU, that will never happen, while grinding them in the meat grinder called war.

  36. @CCC2020

    January 19, 2024 at 4:41 pm

Traitor zelensky should ask the EU for diplomatic help in getting to the negotiation and saving what it could still be saved from what is left of nazi Ukraine. Hungary is a great, proud country with leaders who still have a backbone. Currently, Ukraine’s options are trending to zero. Just like traitor zelensky’s status: from “hero” to ZERO. The easiest and most patriotic option is that the Ukrainian people should get rid of this dictator. He must be put on trial for high treason for destroying the country and sending to death hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians. This traitor transformed the country into a graveyard. He could transform Ukraine into a great and prosperous country if he had been patriotic enough to choose neutrality. Instead, the traitor chose the money from his masters. His greed for money destroyed Ukraine and killed hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians.

Five years on from the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan | BBC News

Published

on

It has been five years since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan, as western forces left, imposing their extreme, ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam on millions of people.

Their return to power brought relative peace to the country after two decades of war.

But Afghan women have been erased from public life. Girls are banned from school from the age of 12, and aren’t allowed to go to university.

Public parks are also off limits to women – and they can’t travel abroad without a male companion.
