It’s all God’s plan Calvin. Or do you think God is wrong to create wokeists? Maybe the woke will inherit the earth?

The churches are empty because people are smarter and don't want to be controlled. The church has not been on the side of the people

This is such an interesting debate, so refreshing to have a civilised conversation between people on opposite sides of the political spectrum

"If you are attracted to Christianity you are attracted to the truth" Emma Webb

I would argue that truth should be replaced with honesty, as a lot of Christianity is not based on science, which is one of the most contentious threads of progressive Christianity at the moment (trans/biology etc.).

Wow, Aaron is on GB news a lot, he always tones it down and sounds reasonable, but the fact is he is a communist, and so u should grill him a bit more than what u have done thus far! Obviously, don't ban or cancel him, but bear in mind that is what he wants to do to GB news if he had the opportunity to!

I am considered protestant. All of our major protestant denominations have fallen into apostacy here in the USA. Same problems all of you are speaking of with church of England etc. They are compromising the Gospel. I have refused to bend the knee for the world, and have been called all kinds of names for defending scripture as it is written, pushing back on those who would tell new believers that LGBT ideas are not sinful etc. This looks like the start of deeper attack that will be coming in our futures. The Great falling away? Mabe we are seeing the beginnings of that Great apostacy that Paul spoke of.

I was in school in the 60's and 70's. We never started a day without the morning verse, prayer, a hymn and a blessing for the day. I did not realise how much I missed that until after I left school high school. Through God we receive an abundance of life ❤ God bless everyone and especially Calvin who is fighting a battle for us all.

Capitalism is not anti Christian. Step back and see that as England has gone socialist, Christianity has ebbed away. One can only have one God- you choose either God our Father or the government.

  26. @elliotthudson2946

    January 18, 2024 at 12:54 pm

Wokeness has nothing to do with the fall in church attendance, people now understand that it is absolute lunacy to believe in it not only that but the rampant brutal pedophilia and lack of suitable response didn't help as well as the fact that it just seems so totally archaic and boring.

  27. @joer9156

    January 18, 2024 at 12:54 pm

Bastani claiming that capitalism is to blame has a degree of truth to it, but to claim that Marxism is the solution to thst is utterly bizarre. Marxism and Communism are ostensibly atheist, and the Bolsheviks first tried to eliminate the Church entirely before later choosing to co-opt it. They murdered over 20,000 clergy in a single year.

  28. @simonskinner1450

    January 18, 2024 at 12:54 pm

Wokeness has found a weakness in Christianity, it is divided and not hard wired to the Torah of Abraham. I have a Ytube video series called 'Myths in so-called Christianity' for the TRUTH.

How can all of you fool yourself into thinking that Jesus Christ looking down from the Heavens accepts all of this compromise. He will say to you all on judgement day “ I knew you not”

  32. @Thetruthmatters154

    January 18, 2024 at 12:54 pm

Protestantism lends itself to moral relativism. It is the cause of its own decline. Catholicism is the faith passed down from St. Peter and (whilst is it flawed) it is still the one, true church.

We Christians are not good in public debate. We are discouraged from apologetics. We are not able to answer the questions that society is asking. We have the truth but we must learn it and fight for it in the public square.

  36. @louisecook6483

  37. @louisecook6483

I have heard it called spring break so many times instead of Easter. The Christian church have become so woke that many of us do not want to be a part of it but doesn't mean that we are not Christians or celebrate our special times at home.

  38. @audioin9105

    January 18, 2024 at 12:54 pm

I walked into one church, which was decked out in Climate Change fundraising. Another one had everything painted rainbow. The church needs to stop pandering to the latest societal fads, otherwise it has no value of following it over not following it.

What a sorry state the world is in. We need God more than ever now at this point in history. Without Him we are all doomed. People all over have pushed Him out and invited Satan in, he is the father of lies, confusion and immorality. His goal is to destroy the world and all God's creation. God rewards us with Heaven if we obey His rules, because He loves us so much. Satan rewards with hell, the fire that burns for all eternity, to his followers, because he hates us so much. He is so jealous that God made us men and women so much better and more precious than him. Invite Jesus back in before it's too late. We are running out of time, these are the last days.

    January 18, 2024 at 12:54 pm

I recently converted to Christianity, I'm quite young (mid 20s) and purposely set out to find a "anti-woke" church. The whole thing of churches thinking progressivism is going to get more young people in church is completely wrong, in my experience the people around my age attending the churches I've been to are also fed up with the muddying of the truth that has infested so many Christian spaces.

I'm commenting from New Zealand. It's happening here too. It's always puzzled me, that when seeking Christian comment, our media go to is St Matthew's in the city, (Auckland NZ). This is a church that denies the virgin birth, resurrection etc… Is LGBTQAI+ approved, thinks of scripture as irrelevant, and sometimes as hate speech, yet somehow gets to speak for the church in NZ.
I haven't identified as a christian for many years now, as I'm not sure what the term christian means anymore.
When asked, i introduce myself as a Bible believer. That opens up conversations for sure…

The leadership of the Church of England has failed on such a massive scale. Under 1% of the population attending church. Crazy.
