Russian Foreign Minister claims ‘we didn’t invade Ukraine’ – BBC News
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has claimed Russia “didn’t invade Ukraine” in an exclusive interview with the BBC’s Russia Editor Steve Rosenberg.
In this extended clip, Mr Lavrov said Russia had instead “declared a special military operation” in Ukraine.
While the foreign minister admitted that Russia is “not squeaky clean”, he insisted “we are not ashamed of showing who we are”.
Thousands of civilians have been killed in Ukraine since the invasion began nearly four months ago, with millions forced to flee their homes.

Huge crowds have flocked to a canal in South Korea to watch a stranded shark.
Bukangi was first spotted in the waterway last month in the south-eastern city of Busan.
Now a third attempt has been made to rescue the female using nets to guide her back to the open sea.

People in the province of Alberta will vote on 19 October on whether they want to start the process of separating from the rest of Canada.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has called the upcoming referendum a “dangerous bluff”, comparing it to the Brexit vote that saw the UK leave the European Union.
But supporters of Albertan independence believe that the oil-rich province has long been overlooked by decision-makers in Ottawa, the national capital, and that federal environmental policies have hindered its ability to develop its natural resources.

Tens of thousands of people are demonstrating across France, in protest at what they say is under-investment in high schools.
Some protests over the past week in France have turned violent, as protesters and authorities clashed.
French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu said: “Burning down a high school does not improve the state of high school buildings. Lynching a teacher does not help replace teachers”, adding it is a “lie” to suggest the government had ordered “police repression” against demonstrators.

Iam not a fan of Putin, or Lavrov.. I think there should be much more competent, peaceful people in charge of Russia, but they are children with their Ukraine, compared to what USA and NATO did. Listen carefully from 8:25 – the question and the answer. That's the actual truth, which never be spoken on european or american TV. There is no common sense answer to that question. Moment, when USA, NATO and EU should lower their eyes to the ground – Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Serbia (Yugoslavia bombing), Vietnam, Lybia etc. etc. Only dear God know how many civilians died because of USA and NATO actions around the world (I think we got digits close to WW II deaths count)

Lavrov’s comments could not be more far from reality. Those are childish-level quasi explanations. Every sentence is just nothing but a bunch of nonsense and manipulation, very shallow. In the video it can be see that BBC reporter is trying to present situation by the may how it was presenter to him and he doesn't care to listen or to understand anything else.
