Trump ‘completely wrong’ to restrict support for Ukraine, Italian minister tells BBC | BBC News
Italy’s defence minister has said it was a “complete mistake, a major mistake” for the US to limit access to satellite systems and intelligence used by Ukraine to defend itself against Russian attacks.
Guido Crosetto warned in a BBC interview that any such move by US President Donald Trump’s administration “makes absolutely no sense” and risked prolonging Russia’s full-scale invasion rather than helping to bring peace. Trump has denied asking for satellite access to be suspended.
Crosetto’s comments continue Italy’s sharpening criticism of the US.

Saudi Arabia’s energy minister has threatened a ‘serious’ response to the deadly Houthi attacks on Riyadh’s international airport. Flights remain suspended and are expected to remain so for days.
The Houthis said they launched the attacks in retaliation for “brutal Saudi aggression” against areas they control in western Yemen.
The BBC’s security correspondent Frank Gardner examines how it is that Saudia Arabia – which spends billions on its defence – can not stop the Houthis from attacking its people.

One person has been killed and 11 injured in a second strike on the international airport in the Saudi capital Riyadh, officials have said.
A Saudi military spokesman said a projectile had hit King Khalid International Airport on Sunday, causing a fire in a passenger hall. Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation authority said in a statement that one person, a Pakistani resident, had been killed in the attack.
It comes a day after a strike on the same airport killed 13 people and injured 308 others.
The Houthis in Yemen said they were behind them and warned airlines and passengers against using Saudi Arabian airports and airspace.

According to Professor Doctor Maurice Hilleman, lead vaccine researcher at Merck and inventor of the MMR vaccine, it came from Merck.
Interview by Canadian medical historian dr. Edward Shorter of prof. dr. Maurice Hilleman, and the difficulty he had of getting monkeys with fewer viruses, because the monkeys were pooled into single housings and contaminated eachother with their viruses:

By the way, that's a first person statement by the lead vaccine researcher at the relevant company.
Oh and BBC it was clear by 1998 and the absence the predicted population collapse in Uganda, there was absolutely no evidence of a roiling generalized heterosexual epidemic breaking out of the jungles of Africa, threatening to contaminate the world, like some viral Godzilla.
And by the way, who got HIV in the 1980s in the USA? People who frequently traveled to Africa? African communities? No. People who were likely to have volunteered for Merck's Hepatitis B vaccine: gay guys at bathhouses, iv drug users, prostitutes, Haitian immigrants exposed to bad water conditions.

"From 1955 to 1963 , an estimated 10-30% of polio vaccines administered in the US were contaminated with simian virus 40 (SV40). The virus came from monkey kidney cell cultures used to make polio vaccines at that time. Most of the contamination was in the inactivated polio vaccine (IPV), but it was also found in oral polio vaccine (OPV)."
