Today's Tories have handled the economy badly. At least we can claim they're acting against type.

But Labour's ideology guarantees bad stewardship.

Are the Tories still classed as the low tax party?
When will they lower VAT and National Insurance?

Labour Party have had the public purse before and left it empty on leaving does not make good business sense re-employment total madness.

Did he advise Brown… to not only dump all of our gold on the market in one day, but tell everyone when he was going to dump it?

I just don't trust Labour to run the economy and am beginning to question the wisdom of the Conservatives Net-Zero policy, which having made British goods super expensive will have China pick-up the slack with their coal powered factories.

Labour and sensible in same sentence LMAO

'Political Economy', now there's a subject to fill the shelves of one's library with utterly pointless drivel. Oh! The 'professor', an ex advisor of the dreadful so-called 'labour' people thinks they have good ideas. He's entitled to his opinion, but so am I – I would rather listen to a passer by on their way to the chippy, at least they had a purpose in where they were going.

  19. @Kefuddle

Labour are genetically incapable of effective economic policy until they identify as Conservative. What we really need is the Conservatives to stop identifying as Labour.

  20. @GOLDSMITHEXILE

    January 17, 2024 at 3:00 am

for academics like him ANY plan that ensures they continue to retain their funding is "sensible"🤣

  21. @henrykirkman4716

    January 17, 2024 at 3:00 am

If Labour controlled the economy they'd have to write a 'No money left' note after six months. Don't let them near it!

  22. @edwardmclaughlin7935

    January 17, 2024 at 3:00 am

The economy that Labour want to put in place is not made up of businesses. Labour will crush businesses so that everyone is made to depend on their handouts. Sit down, shut up or you won't get today's beetroot soup.

  23. @iancooper5163

    January 17, 2024 at 3:00 am

Former Labour economic adviser endorses Labour's economic plan. No bias there then.
