Not even hating, but United has become so poor that an 18 year old CDM doing absolutely nothing out of the ordinary (making tackles, keeping possession) is the star boy for Manchester United. I think he’ll be a quality player, but let’s relax a bit. United are so awful that any player with a bit of effort and tidiness will stick out like a sore thumb.

Give the keys to an 18 year old, how ridiculous, no doubt will be ruined by MU, standard MO

The new Seedof. I bet with a fit and in form Casemiro on his side this lad can shine

The way United midfield is arranged you can easily see gaps .
    One person cannot change it.

Keep him as a 6. We finally have one. There are much better 8’s out there.

But they are also crap at their own set pieces (consistently standing last seasons highest goal scorer 2 metres from the corner taker for instance) so it begs the question … wtf does this set piece coach do? Bring back Rene!

    January 17, 2024 at 8:22 pm

We just need to spend $1.6-2B more to add depth to our squad and we'll be back competing.

This video will not look good in 3 years time when the poor lad completes a ÂŁ5m transfer to a European team after being on loan after not being able to hand utd the EPL title in his first year …..jokers

Please remember that his great performances are with Eriksen next to him, which is his guiding star.

Give him the keys to do what exactly? they said the same thing about Rashford, Sancho and many others at Utd and look where that got them. Man Utd ruin players we dont improve anyone, until Ten Hag leaves no player will improve and players will actually get worse as they have been since day 1.

United fan since we were mid table in the old 1st Div, remember Fergie arriving. What's awkward at the moment is that all our signings are having to come into this team – they aren't coming into the team of '92 or '02, where there were enough established players and an order to things, that a new signing wasn't expected to carry the team or turn them around within 3 months. They were a bit of filler or garnish – now they're pushing salads to be mains. They'd come into a team that had played together and had solidarity and communication between them. Now they come in and there's little relative stability for a new player to learn their place in their new team and system. Too many signings, too much hope for change from outside, not enough effort to work within and make change, instead of simply buying it.

Just give it a matter of time b4 Man Ytd fans start turning on him and blaming him for everything. They usually turn on their own players 😂.

    January 17, 2024 at 8:22 pm

Bin like 10 players. Invest in young talent & pair them with Mainoo, Garnacho & Hojlund.
Like how Arsenal's team is built around Rice, Saka & Saliba – all under 25

  23. @michael43567

    January 17, 2024 at 8:22 pm

Build the team around him & Garnacho

  24. @onezerooneo

    January 17, 2024 at 8:22 pm

He looks great on the ball but does he not look really slow for a young man? He can’t keep up to tackle players when the ball is turned over.

    ETH is a FRAUD

  26. @Daniel_Goh

    January 17, 2024 at 8:22 pm

Mainoo is more of a regista type of midfielder, controlling and carrying ball from defence and circulating ball forward in transition, contributing more in pre-assist and occasionally contributing goal assists like a CAM. He doesn’t have physique, pace & power of a CDM. So a defensive or box-to-box midfielder must play alongside him to be a perfect foil in the midfield duo anchor. Like Casimero as CDM and Mount or McTominay as Box-to-Box (but they both must be disciplined in tracking back from transition)

  27. @towardsthetruth

    January 17, 2024 at 8:22 pm

Exactly, united’s been always poor on the set pieces. Please have the set piece coaches changed immediately. It’s been poor for so so long. They are not creative at all or couldn’t defence well on the set pieces.

    January 17, 2024 at 8:22 pm

    Kobbie is the Truth

  29. @sacred1827

    January 17, 2024 at 8:22 pm

It's very short sighted to say we have Mainoo so we shouldn't play counter attack. We have no defensive midfielder and the CB pairing is a 36-year-old Evans and a creaking Varane. Then throw in that both wide players Rashford and Garnacho don't combine well and are best running in behind. it all leads to a counter attacking style. Problem is we bought Onana precisely for his ability to play sweeper keeper and help distribute and the manager's philosophy is Ajax school. He's compromising himself and being compromised by the tools available. It's been a mess.
