Russia’s independent TV Rain channel back on air – BBC News
Russia’s last independent channel, TV Rain, is back on air more than four months after being forced to close over its coverage of the war in Ukraine.
Known as Dozhd in Russian, it resumed broadcasting from Latvia, streaming a news programme on its YouTube channel.
Dozhd was blocked by Russia’s authorities in early March – just days after Moscow had invaded Ukraine.
Many employees then fled Russia, and later started work on rebuilding the channel abroad.

It has been five years since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan, as western forces left, imposing their extreme, ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam on millions of people.
Their return to power brought relative peace to the country after two decades of war.
But Afghan women have been erased from public life. Girls are banned from school from the age of 12, and aren’t allowed to go to university.
Public parks are also off limits to women – and they can’t travel abroad without a male companion.

China has warned there is a “high risk” that a lake which formed after the recent landslide near the Nepal-Tibet border may breach its banks, causing a second flood downstream.
The warning comes after Wednesday’s deadly flash flood in the same area which has killed more than 500.
Scientists say it was triggered by the collapse of a mountain glacier into a river.

The Netflix show Emily in Paris has been lauded by French President Emmanuel Macron, who presented its creator, Darren Star, with the prestigious Légion d’Honneur last year.

How is this any different from the UK blocking Russia Today?? As the Yanks keep saying it's an information war. You need to look at multiple sources and try to get photos and videos of incidents as they're a lot more credible.
Al Jazeera and Reuters are good sources of information as they're mutual and aren't just peddling propaganda like the BBC
