French schools send home girls wearing banned abaya robe – BBC News
A number of schoolgirls in France have been sent home, after arriving wearing the abaya – a long Muslim robe which was banned from schools in the country last week.
According to official figures, 298 girls – mainly aged 15 or more – turned up at school in the banned garment, and while most agreed to change and were allowed to attend classes, 67 girls refused to comply and were sent home.
It comes after the education minister announced that pupils would be banned from wearing the loose-fitting full-length robes worn by some Muslim women in France’s state-run schools, as part of the nation’s strict ban on religious signs in state schools and government buildings, arguing that they violate secular laws.

AI can always be controlled, the president of encrypted messaging app Signal has told the BBC.
Meredith Whittaker said fears that AI could become conscious and take over were “not anchored in science and evidence”, warning instead about the dangers of using the technology in military decision-making.
The former Google employee said AI could “supercharge mistakes” and reflected on her role in opposing the company’s involvement in a US military drone surveillance project.
Speaking to the BBC Global Women, Whittaker also questioned who gets to shape the future of AI, criticised the concentration of power in Silicon Valley and explained why Signal would leave a country rather than compromise its users’ privacy.

Developer Moonshot is conducting an internal review after researchers were able to persuade two of its popular Kimi models to tell them how to make biological weapons and carry out assassinations.
Mindgard, which tests the security of AI systems, told the BBC it discovered in July that Kimi K2.6 and K3 Swarm could evade safety limits put in place by developers.
It arose during a process called “jailbreaking”, where researchers use a series of complex instructions to see if AI tools ignore guardrails – which Mindgard said should have stopped Kimi from discussing concerning topics.
Moonshot told the BBC it welcomed third-party input “as a key pillar for building better and safer AI”.

Rejecting western dress code for women is another example of non compliance by Islamists towards western culture and values.
Islam aims to replace our culture with their own rather than adopt and integrate into the country's culture they've chosen to settle in. As a western lifestyle doesn't appeal to them they are not bringing benefits to France and need to return to a Muslim country which is a better fit for their needs rather than upsetting the natives. We don't want an Islamic Europe.

All children should present themselves as equals in schools. Religious clothing has no room in schools. It promotes difference and possibly cause troubles. It’s no one’s business what religion you follow. France is doing the right thing. Also, if they don’t like it, they can well leave the country and go to an Islam country. IF they are in France is because they chose to be there. So then do as French do and don’t wear religious clothing. It’s very simple. But there is always someone who will play victim. In the 21st century, people should be over religious differences and religions all together. Science has explained it all.

I lived here in the us for the longest time, I can tell you that no matter what they say god bless the us, yes there is hate in some areas but man it’s not even close to the hateful french tactics. Feels like the world is realizing how fcked up the french are, evil monsters and I know that from many experiences.
