UN ‘deeply concerned’ by rapid spread of Covid in North Korea – BBC News

Published

on

The United Nations Human Rights Office has said that it is deeply concerned about the apparent rapid transmission of Covid in North Korea.

It believes around 700,000 people are ill with the virus, and that the country’s health care system is not equipped to cope.

The country has done little to prepare, and has no vaccination programme.

BBC correspondent Jean Mackenzie is in Seoul.

Ik that Kim feels as if they don’t need any international assistance, they haven’t really trusted anyone else since their most reliable partners(The Soviet Union) split back in the early 90’s and if they want their regime to survive then they’re probably gonna have to learn to cooperate with the rest of the world and let us help them which Ik it’s the last thing they even wanna do or else eventually the regime will collapse and it’ll probably be in a state of civil war while NATO along w Japan and South Korea on the other side trying to reunify Korea and rescue civilians while China trying to stop them of course, really hope one day Korea can be reunified involving zero bloodshed at all, wars ain’t cheap at this point……

North Koreans will live in fear, lies and isolated. Freedom is hard for them to reach, they will die without feeling what is meant to be free.

The best possible outcome could be is that fat gangster that runs the controlling cartel might catch it and perish. Very unfortunate for the poor innocents that live under such corruption.

    "
In the name of Allah the Exalted in Might, the One, the Overpowering, Lord of the heavens and earth and what is between them, the Lord and possessor of everything; that is Allah Lord of the worlds. Lo and behold, o non-Arabs and Arabs! You are certainly aware of what you are experiencing of the cosmic and covidious [a new term that emerged after the spread of coronavirus , and it means related to COVID] war, and the question that imposes itself to all non-Arabs and Arabs is: Who is behind this cosmic and covid-related war? As the intensity of Allaah's cosmic war of the lesser torment in 2020 and 2021 has increased, and what is yet to come is more intense for those who do not comprehend the fact that it is the truth from their Lord. And the question that imposes itself is: Why did the intensity of the war of the calamities of climate changes increase amid the declaration of the global war of corona? And behind this is wisdom from Allaah so the worlds may know the One behind the global war of corona is the same One behind the cosmic war; that is Allaah no God but Him, Lord of the kingdoms of both the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the Great Throne, if only you had any sense! And this is a far-reaching proof, but of no avail will be signs or warnings to people who do not believe in Allaah, Lord of the worlds"

Perhaps Covid could be the Kim dynasty’s downfall. If so that could be an absolute blessing for the North Korean people

Americans react to President Donald Trump’s feud with Pope Leo XIV | BBC News

Published

on

Americans are reacting to President Donald Trump’s escalating feud with Pope Leo XIV and the backlash surrounding an AI-generated image depicting the president as a Jesus-like figure, which has since been deleted.

On Monday, Trump posted a lengthy Truth Social message attacking the pontiff, who has been a vocal critic of the US and Israeli military operations in Iran.

He criticised the Pope, calling him “weak on crime” and “terrible for foreign policy”.

The Pope said on Monday that he has “no fear” of the Trump administration or “speaking out loudly of the message of the Gospel, which is what I believe I am here to do”.
