I don't think the conservatives are more concerned about the illegal migrants than the economy. They are so afraid of being labelled "racist". Clearly this word is now used to call anyone racist who is against anything which honestly does not mean much anymore. The conservatives should be strong like Margaret Thatcher unlike this mini Rishi Sunak.

Immigration of 80% the cause of the stagnation in the economy of UK !!!! Stop single young Muslims entry into UK the same as POLAND. They have the lowest crime and violence rate in the whole of Europe. Young single men take their families with them when FLEEING WAR !! But leave them at home, WHEN GOING TO WAR !! Does this not make sense?

The left say they love mixtures of cultures, but in order to have a mixture of cultures, by definition you have to have standalone cultures. So do they feel all of those standalone cultures need to be mixed with other cultures too, or just Britain's? Our left wing celebrate many countries and ways of life around the world which are not diverse in the slightest, yet are sickened by the thought of britain being the same. Surely those other cultures are missing out on the 'great benefits' or diversity?

  18. @jamietherooster

    January 15, 2024 at 8:15 pm

it really is beyond me why any conservative minister would be ok with this level of immigration. Mainly because surely they can see that a net migration of 700k per year is another guaranteed 700k votes for labour in a few years time. That is of course assuming they aren't all following the same script (which they probably are).

The only way a country with varying groups of people live together with no problems is if the law is enforced harshly and without playing favourites like Singapore. In Britain they bring in vastly more varied groups and law enforcement is a literal joke that definitely plays favourites. It's no mystery why the brits care more about immigration rather than the economy.

You all know that the Tory's control the illegal immigration numbers right? If they want the numbers high they just employ fewer people working in immigration services… if the people who were seeking genuine asylum were able to be processed faster and either deported or allowed leave to remain then the numbers would go down far quicker. They WANT the numbers high, so you are all afraid…

  35. @barrywalsh7926

    January 15, 2024 at 8:15 pm

Immigration and the economy are not separate issues, they are intertwined. While business and the well healed benefit from cheaper labour, the rest of society are competing with the foreign nationals for employment, housing and public services.

Of course the Tories want Joe Public to become transfixed with immigration. This diverts attention from their failed neo liberal policies dating back to Thatcher . Sadly ,so many 'take the bait'.

Andy Burnham reacts to DEVASTATING Stourbridge fires as homes GUTTED: “Never seen anything like it”

Published

on

By

Andy Burnham has visited families in Stourbridge after seeing the scenes of houses devastated by fires.

The Prime Minister outlined his plans to support those affected by the destruction, as he issued a temporary ban on the sale of disposable barbecue.

The ban comes into force today.

Speaking about the fires in Stourbridge, he said: “I’ve never seen anything like it. I mean, I dealt with wildfires in Greater Manchester, but nothing on this scale. I’ve never seen scenes like this in Britain, where you just see a whole house gutted, smouldering.

“And I met one of the families whose house had gone up in that in that way, so you can imagine how distressing that is for for them, and you feel for them and their kids, and not to go elsewhere.

“You know, it’s just unbelievably devastating for people in this in this position. So that’s why I’m here. I just wanted to show that, you know, we’re on the ground.

“We understand how difficult this is for everybody, and we will put in place the support to help people get back to where they should be as soon as possible.”

We now live in GASLIT BRITAIN

Published

on

By

Mark Littlewood says “we now live in gaslit Britain” after it emerged the Home Office published a guide for illegal migrants on how “not to rape women”.

It is just one of the resources available in a collection titled: “Understanding behaviours and expectations in the UK: a guide for asylum seekers”.

Posters and information on rape, the age of consent and child abuse are among the guides to help asylum seekers “understand what is expected when living in the UK”.

The guidance highlights child rape is illegal “even if they look older” or if “it is allowed in another country”.

Speaking to Patrick Christys on GB News, political commentator Mark Littlewood said: “This pamphlet is extraordinary. And the reason I find it so extraordinary and disturbing is if you need that pamphlet, I don’t want you anywhere near my country.”

A Home Office spokesperson told GB News: “We expect everyone who comes to the UK to abide by our laws.

“If they do not, they will face consequences, including the refusal of their asylum claim and removal from the UK.

“Returns of failed asylum seekers have reached their highest level since 2010 under this Government.”

British burqa ban? GB News guest urges UK to follow Portugal

Published

on

By

Tiffany Marie Brannon has urged Britain to introduce a burqa ban after Portugal did so.

Portugal has banned face-coverings in public in a measure widely seen as a “burka law” targeting Muslim women.

President António José Seguro signed into law a bill that originated with the hard right-wing Chega party.

The policy was adopted by Lisbon in July with votes from the right-wing governing coalition and the hard right, while left-wing parties voted against it.

Speaking on The Late Show Live on GB News, Tiffany Marie Brannon argued that the issue raises wider questions about integration, cultural identity and the role of religious dress in British public life, as the debate over face coverings continues to divide opinion.
