Capitol riots: How a Trump rally turned deadly – BBC News
During a speech earlier in the day, President Trump had asked his supporters to march towards the Capitol in protest. They breached the building while Congress was certifying Joe Biden’s win.
Protesters made it all the way to the Senate floor and the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Iceland has voted against resuming membership talks with the European Union, public broadcaster RUV has reported, with just one constituency’s votes left to count.
It reported that 52.5% of the 188,496 votes so far counted had rejected the government’s proposal, while 47.5% had said yes. Some 9,500 votes separated them.
Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir’s centre-left government promised to hold a referendum by 2027, but brought it forward because of international tensions, including US President Donald Trump’s threats against Greenland.

Trump said " we will walk to the Capitol building and CHEER ON OUR BRAVE SENATORS MEN AND WOMAN" . President Trump did not call for violence. His indictment by Biden is a political assassination of Trump which there is no doubt has continued since Trump walked down the escalator in 2016. It is very sad for the world leading country of Democracy that the weaponisation of the federal government and DOJ was allowed to take place..thanks to the Democrats.😢

That day and the days before corrupt Trump was instigating the riots that took 5 lives and countless fear and injuries. Trump created the chaos and he didnt care what the good officers sworn to protect our nation. Trump is insane and evil and he will do it again. He doesnt give a damn about what he put everyone through. Its unbelievable what he put so many good Americans through. The FBI needs to investigate and find out who he talked to so that his madness was a success. Trump will do this again but next time his madness will be so much worse. He is dangerous. The truth isn't always glorious, but it still should be told. Why have a rally right down the road from a building and tell people to march towards it to "stop the steal?" That rally might not have turned into a riot if the speakers hadn't incited it. When Trump told anyone to resort to violence at any of his rallies, even as he promised to pay their legal fees, he incited them to violence then too. He should be ashamed of himself! It was a riot incited by the speakers at the rally.

I know this was years ago, but everyone seems to leave out the most important part of Trump's speech where he says "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the capitol building to Peacefully and Patriotically make your voices heard". Where anyone ever got that he incited violence or is an "insurrectionist" is beyond me.
