Everything is ok though the MP'S are all having a 2.9% wage increase ( that's to keep the best people in parliament) God help us , I would get rid of them all apart from about 5 .

If the OBR is so incompetent why do we use them or pay them ? Just another government department ( although they tell us it's independent) that is neither use nor ornament.

    The Tory government is incompetent

Don't worry, the large multinational corporations will dodge it.
They offer speaking tours and board positions, etc, to the folks in power.

The Conservatives don't want manufacturing in this country. It interferes with their net zero plans. All they want is bankers.

    January 14, 2024 at 10:41 am

This is just the next phase of the globalist plan. Convid first to wipe out people and businesses, then raising cost of living and now taxes, regardless of who you are.

    January 14, 2024 at 10:41 am

They all want small to medium sized businesses gone.

Im afraid the UK won't need any businesses in the new world order. We'll be a prison colony. Like spinalonga only colder. Your government are selling you out.

He's absolutely right, the government don't want manufacturing in this country anymore!..
They've still followed the EU mantra and plan,
    Germany does the manufacturing.
    France does the farming.
And the UK does the admin !…
This is tantamount to world communism and what the WEF are implementing!…

  19. @iangraham9050

    January 14, 2024 at 10:41 am

This proves the Tories are not applying the conservative philosophy anymore. They didn't like Liz Truss's very conservative tax cuts, instead they demanded her resignation and introduced tax rises just like ALL socialist governments do. The Tories are dead to me. From now on. I'm voting for either the Reform or Liberal party (Not the Lib Dems).

  20. @bigboobiessogood

    January 14, 2024 at 10:41 am

The government doesn't want businesses like you Steve, they only want large corporations left standing. They want you staying at home with your headset on, eating the bugs.

  21. @aquamaster1st

    January 14, 2024 at 10:41 am

This is what you get when the country is run by two unvoted globalists. They will kill off businesses.

The foundations that both the Tory party and the labour pantomime party where built on have eroded and they no longer serve the British public interests and definitely not the British tax payer investor interests in our great country, VOTING REFORM UK 🇬🇧👍 British public interests and British tax payer investor interests in our great country 🇬🇧 lets wake up not woke up come election Day and vote for enough is enough and vote reform UK 🇬🇧👍 woke politics out, woke lazzy politicians out onto the curb where they belong our parliament 🇬🇧 our government 🇬🇧 our reform UK 🇬🇧👍

This corrupt government wants business to fail. Their deliberately destroying the business and the country.

  26. @demonhalo67

    January 14, 2024 at 10:41 am

Government have got a black hole because of poor management of public finances and the migrant crisis. They know the public can't afford to pay more in contributions so are going after businesses. A hike that big will just result in more small businesses closing and will make us uncompetitive to foreign multinationals, the ones here may choose to up sticks.

  27. @hayleys1260

    January 14, 2024 at 10:41 am

Of course. Cant have the brand of global communism that Rishi and his wef friends were installed to bring in if business owners are doing well.

Business rates up 6%. Employers Nics, Energy bills up another 30%, and Corporation tax too.
